Basically title. Please God don't let this happen. I am not saying the content might be from AI. I am just imagining the possibility of the pictures all being AI generated and stuff.

I have a considerable amount of friends in my hometown. But you never get to learn much from them, since most of us grew in the same environment and we all have same experiences. Not to mention the city I grew up is mono religious town. So you can guess it.

But with online friends you get to know how life is like in other part of the country or even world. Their experiences vary much and you get to broaden your mindset. Your point of view on things change.

The post I was addressing said that socializing has digitalized and stuff. This is not that artificial really. I was born in 2007. I don't have much experience with it but my uncle/aunt's and siblings used to say how big "Pen Friend" was back then. Most of y'all might know this, but a pen friend is a friend who is from another far away city or even country, in which your only communication is through the letters. My aunt had one back in and she says it was so much fun engaging with someone far away.

I choose to believe there are more genuine and good people in the world than the bad ones. And firmly believe real friends can come from anywhere.

PS: Even then, I am too, skeptical about Reddit as a platform when comparing with other social media. There might be a lotta creeps on reddit, so stay vigilant when trying to make friends here. Don't hasten to meet the people you get to know here too. Engage with them for a few months and see how genuine they are and then do. If you trust them enough, push them to come to Whatsapp or Discord. Reddits annonimyty give them way too freedom.

I don't even care about that creator because he is a homophobic and misogynistic right wing asshole. Mf made a video "Why are ugly women in everything now". Yeah... That's how bad he is. The most worrying part about his video especially this video is the comments. He is spreading misinformation and the audience gobbling it up spewing misogynistic shit in the comments. Fucking incels. I got so sad and angry after seeing this video. Let me know your thoughts.
