I got radxa rock pi 4b+ and read that armbian is the latest is supported from a previous post I made.
I checked out their website and got the imager tool and flashed the is to micro SD card but it doesn't work
Tried downloading the img file and extracting the disc img and using Rufus to flash on USB drive. This also didn't work.
How should I get this thing working??

I just got radxa rock pi 4b+ recently and got the sma connectors and antenna for it.
Installed debain image on sd crd and booted it but i cant seem to figure out how to get the wifi working on it.
when i first got it, i thought it wont work without the antenna so i ordred them but even after attaching them, the wifi logo does not appear in the tray.
looked around but couldnt find any fix for this
anyone knows how to fix it?

I got some good deals on hard drives and got 4x 2 eb drives.
Currently my backup situation is messy with multiple copies and duplicates stored on pc and external drives and now I would like to properly organize my data for future use and clear up older drives.
Should I be looking for a NAS enclosure with RAID or just any enclosure that supports 4 drives would be good?
I have also got an old laptop with Debian running for immich that I turn on every few weeks to backup photos from my phone.
I don't want to have the NAS constantly on as I don't use it often if that matters.

I'm a student so I get a discount on my first year but it only applies to individual plans.
I saw porkbun has a partnership with proton and they're offering "workplace" plans for some discount.
What are the differences between the two?
I read about it and it seems the only difference is the storage? 1 to for 12.99 for workplace while 500 for 12.49 for individual proton unlimited plans

I'm getting more into the privacy rabbit hole and exploring different ways of email system (idk if that's an actual thing)
I am thinking of getting proton mail or tuta mail and both come with upto 10 custom email addresses.
My thinking is :
I get a domain name from Porkbun or cloudflare or any provider. I pay the fees and get mywebsite.com
I purchase the email service from proton or tuta
this is where I'm clueless - what to do to have the proton email talk with mywebsite.com
and if I decide to change prpvider for domain name after a year what happens to the email from proton and is it possible to move them?

Im biology major so I don't know much detail about web dev and domains. I just want to switch to privacy focused tools for my day to day life
The club environment and especially the design teams have been so competitive and after finding out that they only hire people from their specific friend circle or departments I'm so over them.
Why would anyone wanna spend so much time and effort applying to design teams or club positions as compared to work learn or any other paid jobs?
I'm missing something fr because everyone I meet has been part of club executive for years or design teams or both get still not employed
I'm getting into more privacy focused tools for digital stuff like emails and other apps and see that proton and tuta mail both have similar pricing if not lower than macroslop for their OneDrive apps.
And these companies also offer education pricing to universities and schools
If ubc is all about using privacy focused stuff why can't they switch us to these platforms instead of relying on macroslop for literally everything from meetings to assignments and emails??

I just got a mini 12 and got film from canada computers. After coming home, I saw that it was expired in May 2026 (last month) and customer support sent me a new film pack as compensation.
The price I paid was 25$ for 20 pack. I was just wondering if it is okay to use the expired film or I just return it.
I read pots about expired film here and it seems that one month is not a big deal as people have used films that are years old and still come out good.
Do injust write it off as a good deal and use it?

I just got a new job at the start of the month and was fired from it in around 15 working days.
I went there for my shift few days ago and towards the end of my shift, the manager fired me saying that I am not fit for the role due to my disability. I talked about my disability during the interview and she said that it should not be an issue and I can do tasks that I feel safe and comfortable with.
I just got my termination notice today but there is no mention of severance pay in it.
Can I fight this with the BC employment act and human rights commission as a discrimination due to disability? And if so how?
The position was in a restaurant and I have not signed anything yet - they just sent me the termination notice.
