What does Exalted play like?

Hello there I am looking for a new ttrpg and I wanted to DM something high fantasy. I am new at this but I got really into journey to the west after playing black myth wukong recently and I wanted to run a ttrpg that has over the top fights like that.

I was recommended exalted and was told it has heavy inspiration from journey to the west. Is this the right fit for what I'm looking for? What are the most important things to know about this rpg and where should I start first?

Looking for an over the top fantasy/mythology rpg system. Explanation below

So me and my friends are almost done with a multiyear dnd campaign and we will be looking for something new. I want to DM but I am looking for something very specific so bear with me.

I finished black myth wukong recently and I loved it so much I got into journey to the west and chinese mythology in general.

I'm looking for a ttrpg that embodies chaotic battles like that. I want my players to face armies and fight gods. Think a system like the dynasty warrior games or something. I believe the chinese genre is called xianxia although I am not very familiar with it.

I would like to write my own world and story but I want to use the resources and stories of the ttrpg as inspiration and ofcourse I want to use the classes and mechanics from there as well.

Are there any good ttrpgs out there that offer this level of mythic battles? I was recommended Exalted by a friend but I have not looked into it yet

Help me build a strong AOE blaster sorcerer. Both 2014 and 2024 rules are allowed.

So our campaign will Eventually be going to level 20 but the first part is up until level 10-12 DM is not sure yet. I rolled for stats and got 14 9 17 15 15 15 so preety massive starting stats.

I want to play charisma caster and focus on blasting. I have considererd lore Bard as well but I feel like sorcerer could be better for dps. The setting is homebrew and we will use rules of both 2014 and 2024 DnD so we are free to mix and ofcourse multiclassing is also allowed. One more small rule is that I need to be a gnome for backstory reasons.

I was planning to go straight Dragon Sorcerer at first but I also saw a build from Colby at D4 and he proposed a divine sorcerer that focuses on Spirit Guardians and runs around for more aoe although not sure if it outmatches the draconic sorcerer at blasting.

So yeah that's about it, I know that blasters are preety simple to make but I still wanted to ask here for some advice.

New Jhin player here, looking for some tips on E and R also in what comps is he best at?

So I started playing jhin recently and I enjoy him. I main jinx so I usually don't play super aggressive in lane but I wanted to learn jhin as well because I heard he is a strong lane bully.

The two main things I want help at is when should I be ulting? After auto attacking 4 times and then you run back and fire your ult from a safe distance? Also what are some good ways to use E during fights? Do you prep traps beforehand? Keep them to throw them on your feet and run? Both?

Finally is jhin a generally good pick or do you have specific team comps that you don't like him in?

I tried posting this in jhin mains but it got removed and I was told to post here for some reason.

Purely from a dpr prespective do Bladesingers using spell slots keep up with martial characters like fighter?

I know that everyone says that bladesingers are best as wizards with better defenses but if you specifically build a bladesinger to focus on weapon attacks and use all your spells for that purpose will you be able to keep up with let's say an eldritch knight fighter or will you always be behind?

Is dual wield bladesinger just as good as valor bard for a martial playstyle?

I am starting a new campaign and I'm still struggling on what class I want to play. Right now I'm between valor bard and bladesinger wizard and looking for a spellblade build.

I was considering a bladesinger with two weapon fighting and the nick property to attack 3 times and use conjure minor elementals for single target damage. In situations where aoe or control is needed I'm still a wizard.

I rolled some really good stats 17 9 14 15 15 15 and my plan is basically start with fighter at level 1 for con saves and weapon masteries and after that get warcaster for my first ASI to get int to 20 and get all other benefits as well.

A small problem is the campaign starts at level 1 and I won't get bladesinger until level 4 but maybe it's not too big of a deal with true strike being a thing

Thinking of making a Sword bard in 2024. Should I get the fighter dip or not? Is Valor the better choice?

I'm still trying to decide how to build my bard. In my campaign we are allowed to pick whatever we want from both dnd 5e and dnd 2024 so I was considering a dual wielder swords bard maybe?

Sword bards do not get weapon masteries but they do get the two weapon fighting style so maybe fighter level 1 is worth it for con saves+defense+weapon masteries?

My issue is that the first part of this campaign goes up to level 10 so by dipping fighter I don't get magical secrets for now and I also only really come online at character level 7 which takes a while. However if I don't dip fighter I will have to take both the dual wielder feat and the weapon master feat possibly letting my charisma be lower for a long time.

Thoughts? Should I go with my first idea and play a longbow valor bard instead?

Question about dual wielder an Nick weapon mastery

So I'm trying to make a bard that is more focused on damage. I wanted to play a swords bard from dnd 5e and bring it over to dnd 2024 (either that or valor not sure yet). I'm not sure if I want to play an archer or a melee character yet but I was considering running a dual wielder with CME from magical.

The dual wielder feat states: Enhanced Dual Wielding. When you take the Attack action on your turn and attack with a weapon that has the Light property, you can make one extra attack as a Bonus Action later on the same turn with a different weapon, which must be a Melee weapon that lacks the Two-Handed property. You don't add your ability modifier to the extra attack's damage unless that modifier is negative.

But doesn't regular two weapon fighting allow you to take an attack as a bonus action? Does this allow you to take 2 attacks a bonus action?

The Nick weapon mastery states: The Nick property allows you to make an additional attack as part of your attack action whenever you wield a light weapon in both your main and off-hand. But be warned, according to the 2024 Players Handbook, this does not mean you can make a third attack as a bonus action. Instead, this property allows you to free up your bonus action for more tactical moves like spells or whatever else you might have up your sleeve.

Does this make it so you attack 3 times when dual wielding and THEN you can take the bonus action from dual wielder feat?

I have been trying to find out but I can't find a clear answer.

How would you build a valour bard in DnD 2024?

So I rolled some preety good stats and I'm struggling on what to build. I wanted to play a gish that did good damage with spells for support. I am considering eldritch knight as well but I am also looking into bard right now.

I have rolled 9 17 14 15 15 15 this campaign will have 2 parts. One will be 1-12 and in the future 12-20 with the same characters if they survive. I have to be be some sort of gnome for backstory reasons but custom lineage is on the table I suppose.

What are some good builds for that type of bard in your opinion? I am open to multiclassing.

For DnD 2024 is it possible to build a Ranged Eldritch Knight?

I asked about a ranged artificer but Eldritch knight was mentioned so now I'm curious. Is it a good idea trying to build an eldritch knight with great weapon master but focus on dexterity? I want to be able to use true strike for extra damage as well.

Or is this build simply to MAD to make work? Perhaps skipping crossbow expert and just using a longbow is better so you can reach high intelligence for true strike earlier?

What would you say is the best DnD 2024 artificer build for ranged dps? Artillerist or Battlesmith?

I am trying to make a ranged damage dealer that also has spellcasting and I'm considering Artificer for this. My idea right now is a battlesmith that uses a heavy crossbow with great weapon master for damage and using the homonculus and steel defender for extra damage.

My other idea is an artillerist artificer using true strike to attack every turn also using great weapon master and the cannon for bonus action damage again combined with homonculus.

They seem preety close to damage with probably battle master being better down the line due to 2 attacks with a possible magic weapon?

I am also considering eldritch knight that might be more damage overall but slightly more annoying due to the MAD aspects of the build.

What are your thoughts?

What would you say works best for a ranged dps build. Eldritch knight Fighter or Arcane trickster rogue?

I'm trying to make a sort of magic warrior build for my next character and I want to use ranged weapons. I was thinking either eldritch knight with a heavy crossbow and greatweapon master or a true strick int based arcane trickster rogue. What are the pros and cons for each class in your opinion?

Looking for Ekko advice

I randomly decided to try ekko and immediately fell in love despite only playing mages mid lane and adc. I am looking for some advice, though.

First things first is Ekko better mid or jungle in general? Of course, I main mid, so I will prioritize him there, but I'm open to trying jungle as well.

After that, matchups for both of these lanes. What team comps are bad for ekko and what champions do you ban when playing him in either mid or jungle?

I still have to understand itemization better but I think I'll stick to the dusk and dawn build for now and see if I need to change later. I did not expect to enjoy this champion so much.

How can I tell if I made the right choice going with electrical engineering instead of mechanical.

So I live in greece and things are done a bit different here. Instead of picking and choosing classes before commiting to a major you have to pass through an examination and get into a univeraity based on your grades if that makes sense.

I could have chosen either electrical engineering or mechanical engineering and I was really not sure which. I basically just randomly went into electrical because it required higher grades so technically it was considered more prestigious (not a big difference though)

I have already gone through my first year that features more basic stuff. I did enjoy the basic electrical stuff like circuit analysis and circuit design so no problems there so far.

I'm just worried because many people I know keep saying that electrical engineering is very hard and that they are glad they went with mechanical instead, so I'm getting a bit nervous. Since I kinda went the electrical route on a whim I'm afraid I made the wrong choice.

Any ideas on how to confirm that I did not make a mistake after all?

Is leverless good for grapplers?

So I got a leverless recently for mishimas and It has improved my execution a lot even though I jave not fully adjusted yet.

However for half circle inputs I'm feeling very akward. I play grapplers with full circle and half circle inputs on other games as well so for anyone that plays leverless for that type of character do you think it's worth it?

I was told that I should focus on only one input controller for the muscle memory so playing mishimas with leverless and pad for grapplers is probably a bad idea.

Is it worth it to stick to kazuya or should I switch to Heihachi?

I have been playing both heihachi and kazuya lately and I'd like to really commit to one of the two. Tier list wise I always see Heihachi as the better choice so I wonder should I just switch to him? Yes I know the answer is play whatever you find more fun however I enjoy both and I am looking to compete in some locals so I would really like to commit to the better choice strength wise.

Is leverless worth the time investment for Mishimas?

I got back into tekken after a break and I was trying out leverless. From my experience electrics are way way more consistent with leverless but movement and wavedashing still feel sluggish to me. That is probably due to lack of experience though.

So would you say commiting to leverless is a good idea? I have tried stick as well but it wasn't a good fit.

How do you properly extend your lead with Viktor?

I seem to have one main problem with viktor, probably the same with other control mages as well. Viktor has a good laning phase and I can win more often than not. My weakness is how should I go about extending my lead and winning games?

Roaming seems to be my biggest weakness although I'm not sure if mages with no mobility are good enough for that.

I just don't feel as dominant as other roles when I'm ahead. So any suggestions?

Where do I begin with investing? I have about 500-1000€ per month available for this purpose.

So I live in Greece and I am 25 years old. I have no debt and would like to get into investing early. Problem is I have no idea where to start. I want something simple and safe. I was considering possibly ETFs? For now I can afford around something between 500-1000 per month for investing purposes. Where do you suggest I should start?

Ofcourse I will look into different options myself but having some advice will be helpful. Thank you for your time.
