I've been using the hack2you trackpad keyboard in my uConsole and missed a few things from the QMK firmware I was using on the stock keyboard, so I've put together a custom firmware for it. It's ZMK underneath and builds on thoughfix's fork.

Main additions

• Hold Select and move the trackpad to scroll. Hold, not a toggle.
• Gamepad mode on Fn+G. The keyboard shows up as a real USB joystick, with the D-pad on the axes and A/B/X/Y/Select/Start as buttons.
• Trackpad press as a mouse click. There are two pre-built firmwares for left click or middle click.
• Start is Super, and holding Y or B turns the D-pad into a mouse.
• Keyboard lock on Fn+Esc. It ignores the keys and trackpad and turns the backlight off, which is handy for carrying it around.
• Bootloader shortcut that's hard to hit by accident. I kept inadvertently triggering the bootloader previously.

Other changes/stuff to be aware of

A few choices based on how I use mine: Bluetooth is switched off (couldn't see the point in it!), Shift/Ctrl/Alt are one-shot (tap once and it applies to the next key), and the A button is a shortcut key (CTRL +SHIFT) for kitty terminal. All can be changed if you fork & build your own.

It's only been tested on the V2.1 keyboard. It may work on other versions, but I can't promise that. Back up your current firmware first.

First proper speaker I've ever made. All sealed enclosures stuffed with rockwool, pair of GRS 4FR-8 and Tangbang W5-1138SM sub.

Amp is a Aiyima TPA3116 2.1 board. Can be powered with DC or power tool batteries.

Intentionally industrial, slightly rough and ready look is intentional. Although admittedly screwing the routing on the rear wasn't.

Built for smashing out jungle and techno and I'm actually pretty surprised just how well it does that and how good it sounds for a first build. I was half expecting it would sound a bit crap and end up in the loft but this thing is definitely going to see some use.

Just waiting on grilles for the drivers to arrive then it's done.

Now on version 5. Hoping version 6 will be the last. Just got a few tweaks to make for screen fit.

The hinge mechanism is more reliable, baseplate a lot more sturdy and buydisplay screens (almost) fit.

Once I'm happy it's reliable enough in use and in print I'll open source it.

Completed the restoration of the 1974 Made in Italy TI-2500 v2 I got recently. The screen was cracked so I made a replacement from 1mm perspex (not easy to find!). It was a pain getting to the screen as the ribbon cable had to be desoldered. Later versions seemed to make access a little more straightforward.

Also now powered by a li-ion battery with a little charger board. Should be good another 52 years!

Going to keep it on my desk and give it plenty of use. I really love the 70s design, it's a classy calc.

Happened across this 1972/73 TI-2500 v2 at a market yesterday for just £4. Not sure if it's working yet. There was condensation on the inside and some of the traces are a little discoloured but not corroded, I'm hopeful.

I'm planning to put a 3.7 li-ion battery in there with a boost module to provide the 4.8v. I'll use a 18650, if it fits.

It's made in Italy, I think the serial number is 20942. I've tried to work out when it was produced but not had any success. Can anyone help me identify the production month/year?
