I thought Black flame by Bury Tomorrow was a successful release

So as far as i know Bury Tomorrow were close to extinction back in 2019-2020 but Cannibal saved the band. But wasn't Black flame successful enough- how could it lead to near death of the band? Were they owing money to the label or they toured too much in 2018?
