I started as a painter only so I simply painted the factions I liked. Now I’m looking to get into the actual tabletop side of things and I’ve found myself with like 700 points of four different armies. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve got analysis paralysis trying to decide whether to add the marines in the 11th edition box to my Templar, Space Wolves or generic codex marines (I paint as exorcists)

I’ve more or less determined that they’d see little to no use for my Wolves list, so I think I can eliminate that option.

Anyone playing games so far in 11th finding success with those units in a Templar list? Which units are worth including? I’m looking at the chaplain based detachment thinking that may lend itself well to the vanguard veterans? How about the rest? Thank you!!

Anyone have experience using Newsh? It claims to work almost like an oil wash in that you can add it then move it around and wipe off. I’m super interested because while I like oil washes, I either have to let a gloss varnish dry for a million years or inevitably I pull up some of my paint no matter how gentle i try to be. User error for sure there but the description on Newsh caught my eye.

First off, I love the brand. I’m considering shifting all my stuff from army painter over to PA based on my experience with a handful I’ve bought so far.

My biggest issue is my LGS doesn’t stock it, and ship times appear to be insane. It’s been 8 days since I ordered and it still just says “preparing shipment.”

My last order took several days as well, then when I emailed support, suddenly it shipped. (Maybe coincidence)

Is this normal experience for the Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl line? Ordering singles, if that makes a difference, as I already have 100+ bottles from AP, Vallejo and Citadel, I can’t justify yet to get multiple PA sets to be “ahead” of any projects.

I have mostly AP Fanatics and Pro Acryl paints.

I’m trying to determine the best paint color to use as a base. Yes, I have looked up a few paint conversion charts but I strangely see Iron Warriors metallic missing from some or without results. My LGS has limited citadel paints and doesn’t carry iron warriors base, or I’d get some to compare. (I despite pots and refuse to pour them into bottles)

Looking at my paint rack, I have “heavy metal” from AP, but that’s feels not dark enough to me. I have Dark Silver from Pro Acryl, but that feels too dark?

Anyone use these lines and have a solid comparable equivalent? I’m open to buying something else in a dropper bottle, just want to be as close to like for like with Iron Warriors. Thinking about one of the TMM sets from Vallejo too but don’t have experience with that line.
