Middle school boredom

My gifted/ADHD son just finished 6th grade at our highly rated local public school. He hates it. He says he’s bored and he already knows everything they’re teaching. I think he’s exaggerating but he did get 99-100’s all year in honors math and ELA (no gifted offerings, no honors options for social studies or science). He did complete the middle school math curriculum before the end of fifth grade so I asked his math teacher if it would be possible for him to skip a grade in math. She thought that was a good idea so she brought it up to admin but apparently they will “run out of math curriculum” before his senior year of high school and they are legally required to be enrolled in a math class at all times.
He has a 504 plan but he didn’t want to include any of the accommodations that were actually helpful in elementary school because he doesn’t want to be singled out. He is on a stimulant.
He’s a quiet/shy kid and it takes him a long time to feel comfortable and make friends but he’s got a FANTASTIC group of buddies he’s actually comfortable with and I don’t see a way to duplicate the social aspect homeschooling.
I don’t know what to do for him. We’ve told him there are parts of life that are boring and this is a good opportunity to learn how to deal with that. I’ve looked into online college course so that he can “clep” some credits but he won’t be old enough until halfway through the year. I just don’t want him to get burnt out with school so young and I worry about his mental health. I’ve encouraged him to read when he finishes assignments early which he does usually enjoy but he has access to “educational” games on his chrome book and he mostly manipulates the games into doing ridiculous things to show his friends (creates quiz games where every answer is correct and he can accumulate a lot of points for in game rewards, creates silly canva slide sets, etc…).
Any ideas or encouragement would be very appreciated!

Conners Scales

Does anyone else use Conners scales? I really like them for my high masking and female kids, they seem a lot more sensitive than Vanderbilts for them but scoring is a nightmare. Do you find reimbursement in the US (mostly Medicaid) adequate to rationalize buying the online form version? Anyone have it integrated into epic?

Wild Cherry?

US, SC. Seeing mixed information about whether or not these are edible. I know the pits have cyanide but so do the cherries from the grocery store.

Morris Island Trip?

Looking to plan a trip with older elementary and middle school aged kids. I see prices ranging from $45-150 per person so just trying to figure out which company would be best for us. Appreciate it!

Split Custody with new T1

My 13 year old niece was just diagnosed in January and her dad is really struggling with day to day management. They’re divorced and he has a history of a TBI. He holds down a job but he’s not great with more complex executive functioning. Her sugars are all over the place at his house. Most recently she was in the 40’s and dropping and my sister (her mom) couldn’t get in touch with them. He said her CGM didn’t alarm.
Are there diabetes educators not associated with clinics or maybe coaches? Also considering diabetes camp for my niece or maybe a diabetic alert dog. She’s given him “Think Like a Pancreas” but I don’t think he’ll understand it.

[Product Request] combo spf and moisturizer

Trying to design a skincare routine for my tween son who is starting to get some acne and it’s not going great.

AM
-splash with water
-medicube zero pore pad (has been using for months)
-spf (have tried avene mineral sunscreen and prequel sun barrier so far)

PM
-cerave foaming facial cleanser
-cerave PM
-(differin to be started once he’s tolerating above)

Poor kid has stinging and peeling of the skin around his mouth since we added the spf. I’m pretty sure it’s the mineral sunscreen and lack of morning moisturizer but I can’t find a combo product. I went mineral because I don’t think he’ll tolerate getting it in his eyes and he plays sports daily.
Any recommendations on a combo product moisturizer and spf that won’t burn his eyes when he sweats?
Honestly I’m looking for the same, been using PTR water drench for years and I refuse to give that pedophile another dime. Very open to Korean skincare if there’s an easy way to get it imported.

Trash can?

Just brought my beautiful GHH home and I cannot for the life of me figure out where to put a trash bin in it. I really don’t want to lose a cup holder but it’s the only option I see that won’t impede on leg room or walking path to the back seat (captains chairs). Any ideas?

What am I doing wrong?

Just got a MOVA on Mother’s Day and set it up. It’s run at least daily since then but my living room still looks like this (Bernese Mountain Dog). The filter is fine, no clogs I can see, no hair stuck in roller, bag is not full. I set it to max suction and lowest moisture for this room and increased the frequency of emptying. I even ran it on the highest suction that you have to manually add for individual runs. My wood floors look great, no more tumbleweeds, but the carpet is terrible. Any tips?

I had a massage today and it was the usual “start on your stomach, face in the cradle”. Then the table went up. Then the foot of the bed went up. Then the chest area went down!! I shit you not! There was just a void between the edge of the table and the stomach area but my arms were still supported. First massage I’ve ever had where my boobs weren’t in my arm pits or compressed under my body. It was weird to feel my clavicles touching the table though.

My GHH Limited should be coming in soon to the dealer. Saw some posts on here that were helpful for new owners like getting the brights angled down a bit and having the dealer allow the setting for opening windows from the key fob. Any other tips?
