1998-1999 pre release screenshots
As you can see in the 1999 version left side, the UI almost looks like the finshed UI. But the sims seem to have slightly more detail in their faces. The Plumbob was also different harder to see. The kitchen has a few things not available in the finshed game. This was also likely when the Sims were supposed to have Facial expressions. In the 1998 screenshot, the game has a much more Cartoony look. It also appears building upto a 3rd level would've been possible, potentially because the game was scaled back. Once it was made to look more realistic Windows 95-98, may not have run the game as well with 3 story house's.
This is fine. 🤣
TV'S broken Pizzas on the floor house is on fire and sunny should be coming soon too. 🤣
The reason they never did another Hollywood Sim EP.
It was several reasons, One of them being to use the names and likeness of real celebrities they had to get permission. Furthermore they had to paid said celebrities or their Estates since the game featured celebrities from the 1950s. Some of the celebrities Apparently had special requests for their sim counterparts, that required special code to be added. Although EA has since teamed up with specific celebrities to make a special EP based around them.
Concept art for the original game.
They originally planned for the Homes to be more realistic, with a foundation and more realistic item's. Also the Neighborhoods we can switch can too were supposed to look very different as well. With one Neighborhood being more rual and another being Desert think sims 2. The idea was likely reworked into Vacation. The sims speak a language that obviously doesn't exist. The Creators figured Players would get sick of hearing the same words over and over again. Furthermore it limited what the Sims could be talking about. The sims language is made up from several different languages including English. So if you think you understand a word or two, well your not going crazy you probably did actually hear that word. Sim kids cannot go downtown, or to Hollywood even if an adult Sim is Home. This is likely because they'd be so limited in what they can do, it would be pointless.
Sims 1 Intro has a few items not in the game.
As you can see in the first two Pictures, the Plumbob was different looking. It also had different colors not in the final game. The Male sim has a chair and TV/Table not in the final game. Furthermore the pizza man Leaves the pizza with the sim he does not come into the house. The Female sim has a plate of food that's in the final game. The group of sims, are watching a TV that's not in the final game. Lastly the Dancing sims have a more realistic looking 1999-2000 big screen TV along with a coffee table not in the game. Apparently the Developers were also going to allow players to put real life pictures of themselves or objects into the game, and then Put that on the wall of their Homes. In the 1990s early 2000s putting real life pictures into games was a big feature for a lot of video games.
Sims Rarely Love my houses.
Regardless of it the House is big or small, my House score is never more then half full. Even when it's full of the best of everything the sims aren't fully satisfied or even half satisfied.
[Unreleased Media] War of the Worlds 2005, Camelot Scene.
War of the Worlds 2005, seemingly has very few if any deleted scenes. Unfortunately one of the most interesting scenes has seemingly been lost. And furthermore it's not clear if the scene was fully finished although it appears that some takes of said scene were completed and cut for Unknown reasons. The scene was apparently supposed to take place, just after Ray and his kids where thrown off the Ferry and swam to shore. We see them swim to shore, then after watching The tripods attack the helpless survivors, we cut to the Trio walking towards the Big battle on the Hill. Apparently the Camelot scene as it's been named was in the middle of that. The Trio walk into an abandoned, town were countless tripods start moving towards them. Ducking behind an abandoned car, the Trio witnesses a Tripod rip into a building an Pull a women from it. The Horn blares as the Tripod is doing its call, as we hear/see more survivors screaming as they're Pulled out of the building. Several screenshots and some Rough storyboards remain of the scene. There's even a very quick shot of Tom curise moving into position for the scene. The Chinese trailer apparently did show a quick shot of said scene, but I can't confirm it was ever completely shot and edited. If it does exist, it has yet to be released in full anywhere.
How to easily stop a burglar.
Put an alarm at the very edges of the Lot, that why the Burglar will set them off instantly.
[Partially Lost] Carriers 2009 Scenes.
Carriers 2009, is an interesting case as it nearly became lost media in of itself. Flimed in 2006, staring Chris Pine the Movie wasn't released until 2009. It was only released because the studio thought they could capitalize on Chris Pines new found fame Thanks to Star Trek. The Movie followed Four late teens/early 20 somethings, as they travel across New Mexico trying to reach safety after a deadly virus has killed most of humanity. The Movie takes place around a month or two after society has completely broken down. In the Movie Chris Pines character talks about being paid by the state to help unload bodies into a mass Grave which was a football field. We only hear him talk about it, but according to people who saw early test screening they did a flashback scene showing the mass Grave. It was also meant to Explaine why Chris Pine's character was so hardened and ruthless. The Movie has an R rated cut, that is easy to find. Also a YouTuber uploaded an alternate opening to the Flim. Another Blink and you'll miss it, scene appears in the trailer that Seemingly shows the characters driving past a parking lot Full of cars that have been left behind. I can't Confirm the Football Stadium scene ever existed, but it's been rumored that Paramount did alter cut the Movie down. They also made it into a PG-13 vs the original R version. The R Rated version doesn't include anything special just more swearing. The Movie has gone under the radar. While it did gain some popularity in 2020 it has mostly been forgotten.
1998 Pre release of the game.
The original game was supposed to be more realistic, with Shadows a foundation and sims could've owned cars. The cars were cut late in development, as you can still find trailer footage of the cars parked outside sim houses. Sims were also going to have Facial expressions, and Lots would have a real Date and Time display. Each lot would start in June 1998. Also the First picture shows a 3 story house implying they intended to let us build up to at least 3 stories. There are also several Chairs Tables, TV's that got cut or were moved to the other Packs released later. The original idea was that Players would Build houses, and Sims would come in and judge the house. It was decided the Sims themselves were more interesting then just building a house.
The happiest Sim doesn't need a house.
He has almost no Money, sleeps next to a toilet still he's the happiest Sim.
As a Kid I always thought that icon looked like Hank Hill. 🤣
Maybe Bella is into King of the Hill, the show was into season 3 by the Sims 1. 😅
Sims Interested in weather and the 1960s?
I don't know what Year the Sims Live in, as the technology they have is far beyond what we have. So what did the 1960s Look like to them? And weather there is no weather. 🤣😅
Never seen this before. 😅
My female Sim HR went downtown while her Roommate/ husband appears with another married sim. When I left he was on the toilet. I've seen the Game put sims I've created downtown when I am not in their house. But I've never seen Sims from the current active household appear downtown when they got left home.
It feels great being able to Play sims 1 again! 🥳
After The Legacy edition randomly stopped working in November 2025. It randomly decided to start working again today. What's even stranger I tried to use the game on two different Gaming laptops and it wouldn't load on either. No error messages nothing like that. But just as randomly as it stopped working, it randomly started up again. I am guessing Windows or My laptops had some software that was keeping the game from running.
Sims 1 legacy edition decided to randomly start working again 🥹
The Sims 1 randomly decided to stop working across two different gaming Laptops late November 2025. I just couldn't run the game tried again today and it started just fine. My best Guess is some weird software or Windows Update was causing issues but it wouldn't give an error message or anything it just wouldn't start.
