I’m a software architect working on a privacy-focused collaboration project called Harbour. That’s only a working name, and there isn’t a product I’m trying to sell you yet.

The problem I’m looking at is fairly ordinary: a small group discusses everything in WhatsApp, Slack, Signal, Discord or Teams; files end up somewhere else; tasks go into another tool; and a few weeks later nobody can find what was decided or why.

Before I build much more, I’d like to speak to people who actually deal with this.

I’m looking for people involved in small groups of roughly 3–12 people, particularly:

* small product or founder teams;

* consultants working with clients;

* engineering or research groups;

* open-source maintainers;

* committees or other private working groups.

It would be a relaxed 30-minute voice or video call. I’d ask you to talk me through a recent real project, which tools were involved, and where information tended to get lost. You would not need to share anything confidential.

This isn’t a sales call, and I’m not going to ask you to switch apps. I’m trying to find out whether the problem is real enough to justify building the thing properly.

Millions of dollars being stolen from punters for “permanent Iranian peace deal” seems like a good enough reason for Reddit and everyone else to ban Polymarket. Why the fuck are people still taking them seriously when the odds can be literally swallowed by whales? I’m really confused about this. I am seeing advertisements for polymarket in my feed. “Iran and US has a permanent peace deal by 15th June” resolving yes means this is not a serious company and should be barred from advertising. I can also make a website tomorrow that allows anyone to bet on anything and for the big fish to determine the outcome.

There is a website which claims to be a trading bot for Polymarket. It looks like Windows 3.1.

I first encountered it in the comments on a market. Some guy said it was doing great on these markets. He didn't link the site, just the name which, when googled, is the top result. I stupidly put my polymarket login into the fake login page and it drained my account, my own stupidity. I was multitasking and didn't think twice.

I have spent the last few weeks trying to get it taken down. I succeeded for the first two domains, both xyz, and now it's moved to a third .com. Cloudflare removes them straight away but their hosting provider in Switzerland is ignoring abuse reports. Same host underneath for all 3. Same IP in Switzerland.

Today, when I search for "term site:polymarket.com" there are 10+ pages of results of comments all from brand new accounts with either lots of $1 trades or none at all. Polymarket does not care.

So when I reported a website to Cloudflare abuse, it went offline for a day. In that day Cloudflare responded that it’s no longer available and closed the case. Magically it came back up after this. While I was reporting it again I noticed you do not have a choice when reporting abuse but to also send a copy of the report to the website owner.

Could they make it any easier for the scammer to automate being detected?
