Is this a bubble nest?

He has only been out of the cup for a week or so, and he’s made a bubble nest? Is that normal. He seems really happy and hyper and his colors are a lot brighter now.

Can’t wash my hands because the faucet was installed too far back

Empty tank, ready for a new friend.

I saw last week that the betta fish at my local shop are on clearance, marked down to $1-$2 because they are going to stop selling them.
I keep checking in and nobody is buying them…. So I set up a tank. There is a heater in the back, filter, and some water cycling liquid that has ‘beneficial bacteria’ in it.
I’m going to check the temp and water parameters before I put any thing in it. It’s 5 gallons. I think it will be okay for a beginner set up, definitely better than a sad little cup.
I wish I could take all of them. :(
Feels bad having to choose only one.
