I haven’t taken advantage of the remapping buttons yet. I am curious what games and what action you remapped your GL / GR buttons on your pro controller 2?
One idea I had is that it messes me up when I switch games when say jump is a different button. Maybe I always remap jump to be GR.

I just started Dungeon Crawler Carl and this line made me fondly think of the Bobiverse series…
“I even once got to shapeshift into a human and go out into the world. I went to a Blockbuster Video and stole a bunch of James Bond tapes. I was so happy once you guys started digitizing everything.”
I am loving the texture and strong magnets in Spek’s Odds. They are beautiful and so fun to play with.
I do find it difficult to use one hand and sometimes wish they were smaller.
Does anyone have the Ono Signets? Which do you like better?
So I am pretty early in the game. I purchased the zephyr town magic box from the sprite store. It said I would be able to warp home if I jumped in the box. I can’t find the box?
I am at the end of year one. I think my bazaar level is 3. Should I be leveling up the sprites or getting my bazaar level up first?
I have them up around levels 8-15. I’m not sure I’m seeing a the benefit? What happens when I level up each sprite?

I’m LOVING my first SoS game. But even though there is no combat, I wouldn’t describe it as cozy. Cozy to me means relaxing.
In GB, I have a short day and only a week to get ready for the Bazaar. After taking care of my crops and my animals, I feel that clock moving as I try to finish a quest, locate an NPC, trigger a scene or collect a resource. Sometimes I almost feel like I need to write down a to do list as there is so much to do, in a good way! So I think it’s the clock that takes this out of the cozy category for me. You can tell me to ignore it, but the clock and graph showing me my next bazaar level up motive me to be efficient. But I like that.
As an example of a game that felt cozy to me is Tiny Bookshop.
Just curious would you describe this game as cozy/relaxing and why?

This lived up to the hype. Thank you to this community because I took the plunge and ordered the blue stigmata. It arrived yesterday and I am loving!
I like the small size of these (a little smaller than I expected) as it is easy for one handed use. I love the silicone/soft rubber texture. The magnets are nicely strong.
I also did help me avoid picking cuticles and was super fun. I mostly use one handed but when I have two hands available you can get creative. I love the blue color. They are super quiet and the size and color makes them discreet. I feel comfortable using this at a social engagement.

I just started my first SoS game and I have a question about the map. The map is made up of face icons.
If I want to find a specific person, I need to remember what their face looks like? Uh-oh, I am not very good at facial recognition. I am sure I’ll get to know people’s locations eventually, but am I missing a way to figure out their location by their name?
Any other beginner tips about the map? Thank you for any tips about the map.

I loved the original Star Trek and the positive optimistic future it presented.
I find it challenging to find science fiction novels where the future is optimistic. I enjoyed the Expanse series, The Martian, Hail Mary, and The Bobiverse series . Ursula LeGuin and Becky Chambers are good. I am an avid reader. Do you have any recommendations?

So I reached the war, torn Island of Moonbrooke last night. It is so exciting to help these folk restore their castle while being chased by the enemy.
I thought the combat was a little annoying at first in this game after playing Pokopia. But now I see how it adds to the story and the excitement. And requires you to fortify your villages.
This game keeps getting better and better!
I played Space Invaders and Atari a kid. I used to save my paper route money for every new system including Fairchild and ColecoVision! The OG Zelda was my favorite.
I took about 20 years of hiatus from games while raising kids.
Now an empty nester, I am happily surprised at the pure unadulterated joy I am experiencing from getting back into gaming. It is nostalgic, creative, and thoughtful provoking and FUN!
Also, as a girl playing OG Zelda I did not have many female friends playing and there was no internet. I was drawing maps by hand and when I was stuck, I was stuck for days! It is such a pleasure to have a gaming community online including Redditors.
I did NOT like being ripped away from my building and terraforming goals to be stuck in prison! It took me hours to escape. To the games’s credit, I really felt stuck in jail! But I did NOT enjoy it!

So I’m early in the game and loving it. I keep thinking that there are some parts of the DQB2 that would’ve been awesome to include in Pokopia.
Like when I ring the bell and all my villagers, come running. Wouldn’t that be awesome in Pokopia? If we could ring a bell and at least 25 of our Pokémon came running to us!
And how the villagers come eat together when I make a dining set. How awesome would that be in Pokopedia?
