How have you become a better steward of all God has provided you?

Be it finances, home, relationships, time, your body.. what have you done to become a better steward? Sometimes I feel as if I’m wasting God’s blessings by not caring for them intentionally.

Dads Who Were “One and Done” By Choice, Any Regrets?

For those of you that were one and done by choice, do you regret it? Is there any ounce of you that wishes you can go back in time and try for a 2nd? I always wanted multiple kids, and still do, but the idea of being one and done doesnt sound as crazy to me as it did before. Why? I don’t have a great reason. My son is my mini me, I love every second I get to spend with him. Yes, some days are harder than others but that’s just being a parent and raising a child. How do you give your first born the attention they need when you have your 2nd? Do they get used to not being the center of attention the whole time? Idk, maybe I’m just scared.

Question for IQVIA CRA’s

What sponsor do you work for? Do you have work life balance? Does the sponsor breathe down your throat? How is your manager? Do you feel valued? Do you hate life? Do you love life? I want to know it all.

21 Days Without a Bet. Now Comes the Hard Part… Football Season.

21 days without placing a bet.

The crazy part is, the intense urges really haven’t been there. I haven’t been sitting around fighting myself every day trying not to gamble. But I’m also not naive. Football is starting back up, and I know this is where it’s going to get real as hell.

For years, Sundays meant sitting in front of RedZone all day with hundreds of dollars on the line. Constantly checking scores. Checking my phone. Sweating bets. Chasing losses. Thinking one more bet could turn the whole day around. And for what?

Even when I won, I wasn’t at peace. Because
winning just made me want to bet again.
I’m starting to realize that not gambling isn’t me giving something up. I’m not missing out on anything. I’m getting my peace back.

Football season is going to test me. I know that.
But I’d rather deal with the discomfort of not placing a bet than go back to the stress, regret, and bullshit that came with gambling. Much love to everyone and keep on keepin on!

A few thoughts 15 days gambling free

It took me a long time to realize this, but gambling addiction isn’t living.

Living isn’t being glued to your phone checking scores every few minutes. It isn’t sitting in a casino for hours while the rest of the world passes by. It isn’t carrying the constant stress, anxiety, and depression that so often come with this addiction.

Every day I choose not to place a bet, I’m choosing to truly live. I’m choosing a mind that’s no longer consumed by odds, parlays, or the hope that the next bet will change my life. I’m choosing reality over the false fantasy that gambling will make me rich.

Freedom isn’t about winning the next bet, it’s about getting your life back.

Just a few thoughts. Much love, everyone.

Make it make sense

I’ve noticed quite a few listings for used Alo clothing that are priced the same as or even more than the exact same items brand new on Alo’s website. Why do some sellers do this? Are they hoping buyers don’t check retail prices, or am I missing something lol?

What would the prosperity gospel preachers & followers say to this verse?

“Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sold Item Delivered a Week Ago, App Won’t Update, Support Keeps Closing My Case??

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with this before because I’m getting nowhere with support.

I sold an item, and according to the tracking information it was successfully delivered on June 16. The problem is that the app still hasn’t updated to show it as delivered, the buyer hasn’t confirmed receipt, and my funds are still being held.

I’ve contacted support multiple times through the app. Every time I get a generic response (if I get one at all), and then the case gets marked as resolved or closed without anything actually being fixed. I’ve reopened the issue several times and keep ending up back at square one.

At this point it’s been almost a week since delivery, and I’m still waiting for the sale to be completed and the payment released. The tracking clearly shows the package was delivered, so I’m not sure why the transaction is stuck.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you finally get it resolved? Is there a way to escalate beyond standard support?

Do you only buy your kids new clothes?

We’re probably 60% used 40% new, but if we were to buy new clothes for every phase we’d be broke lol. For those that buy 100% new where are you finding the best deals?

What do you think about Matt Walsh?

Two posts in one day, crazy I know. But I’ve been seeing a lot of clips of Matt Walsh recently. What do people think of him? Is he a reputable source when it comes to conservative media? Or is he just looking for click bait and rage bait?

Why do people hate black conservatives?

Serious responses preferred as I am very curious and have never asked this question outside of my friend group. Yes, I am black for those wondering. And The amount of hate and disrespect I’ve gotten over the years because of my political views does not add up. People think If you’re black and conservative you hate yourself and your people. Makes zero sense to me.

Over paid hospital due to “Good Faith Estimate”

Hospital said I owed $1000.33 for a procedure that I had so I pad it on the day of the service. A few weeks later I see that the claim was finally processed and insurance company says that I only owe $230.

There are two other claims associated with this procedure but my share for those are under $20. For both. This is the first time that something like this has happened to me. Is the best option to call the hospitals billing department?

The claim is showing as processed with the insurer with plan discount, what I owe, and what insurance company owes but the EOB isn’t ready yet. Do I also need to wait until the EOB is ready to call the hospital? Any and all help is much provided. Thanks.

Selling used kids clothes for the price of new?!

I’ve seen a number of listings like this. Do some sellers think buyers are just dumb as a rock? Someone make it make sense!

How do you balance healthy eating with your kids?

My wife and I have tried really hard to make most of our son’s food at home since he started eating. We use quality ingredients, make or bake most of his snacks ourselves, and when we do buy packaged snacks it’s usually things like Once Upon a Farm or Amara Organic. For meals, we try to balance healthy fats, carbs, protein, and vegetables as much as possible. We’ve basically become experts at hiding veggies in everything. Sometimes it works, sometimes it definitely doesn’t.

At this point he’ll eat almost anything, but we also aren’t giving him everything. Part of that probably comes from my own unhealthy relationship with food, and I really don’t want to pass that mindset onto him.

I guess I’m struggling to find the balance between being intentional about nutrition and becoming overly controlling or anxious about food. For parents who care a lot about what their kids eat, how do you keep a healthy perspective without going overboard? Is this pretty normal?

Edit: Thank you to everyone who commented, I really appreciate it.

Transcripts show code 150 but balance owed hasn’t updated, is this normal?

I’ve been making payments towards my balance but my actual balance has not posted to my account. This is fine since code 150 is present and it shows all of the payments I’ve made so far correct?
