Anyone sustain "rarely" levels of drinking?

Hi folks,

I drank pretty heavily in my 20s, moderated down in my early 30s, seriously cut down after making a very positive life change, and have gotten to a point where I'm functionally soberish for the past four months. I've dipped back in by having one drink (exactly one drink!) on five occasions, four of which did not feel worth it afterwards - the feeling of intoxication was unpleasant and I did not like how I felt after - and one of which, a trail beer, did feel worth it. After having each of these drinks, "the door" to drinking more has felt reopened for a day or two, but I've never actually acted on it.

Emotionally, this cadence feels possible to me - one or two drinks on rare, mostly pre-planned occasions, but otherwise being sober in any other circumstances. Has anyone sustained a cadence that is comparable to this? I think a hard prohibition would force me to give up certain things I do love - I am dreaming of the beer and oysters at Monk's Cafe when I visit Philly later this year - but I overall do not feel a strong compulsion to drink anymore and I feel much better physically not doing so.

Two important notes: I drank heavily when I was living in the Northeast, South, and Midwest, which all very alcohol-centered cultures; I live and have been living in Southern California for almost a decade, which is maybe even alcohol-rejecting in some ways. I also do not think I have a dependence on it. I have a bingeing-related ED and the feeling of compulsion there is a strong one; I don't have that for drinking.

did my first ever bikepacking trip with a women’s + gender expansive bikepacking group and it ruled!

not a huge weekend for veteran bikepackers (30 miles each way up and down a graded valley) but a huge step for me as a trans lady :) I love the outdoors and this was my first time going camping since starting transition AND my first time participating in a women + gender expansive group space like this, and it was absolutely lovely! everything went well and everyone was really nice and supportive, and I had an absolute blast. i used to be a hardcore bike commuter, and though I've come off of that a little bit, it was such a breath of fresh air to ride my bike in nature compared to figuring out how to avoid getting yelled at by impatient truck drivers. excited to try more bikepacking in the future :)

Does my nose make me look more masculine (particularly in profile?)

I am making some decisions on some ~facial procedures~ (if you’re guessing, it’s probably what you’re thinking) and am trying to decide whether my nose is super masculinizing. I like it and I think it’s interesting but I’m open to a conservative rhino if folks think there’s anything super masculine about it! thanks for your help ❤️

How to get over feeling like I look like a dork/being self-conscious at the gym?

weirdly, this is late life onset - I’ve been a gym goer in some form for 16 years, but I’ve recently been getting really into high intensity cardio. I‘ve found that it’s easiest to get fully into ”the zone” if I let myself be a dork - let my body move how it wants to move, lip sync along to my music, whatever. I’m fully aware that I look really goofy when doing this, but the quality of my workouts has gotten so much better. for anyone else who has suddenly experienced a bout of gym self-consciousness, how did you deal with it? I’m really enjoying the workouts themselves but hate the weightlifter bros smirking at the chubby woman in her 30s having a blast on the stairmaster

does my face look more masculine after losing some weight? sort of freaking myself out about it

thank you for tolerating my silly question, just freaking out about it and not sure where to go. I’ve lost ~20ish pounds between these photos and am worrying my face is too angular in the right hand one. 34 mtf 22 mo hrt

no makeup, no filter, hair back changes 1.75 years HRT (34 MTF)

wanted to show a slightly different type of timeline! obviously a ton of laser

eta: been genuinely surprised how much of a difference HRT alone has made on a few things that are typically considered FFS targets, particularly brow nose and lips
