I've been playing Dying Light 1 on PC (NVIDIA GPU / ASUS Monitor) and everything was perfect until recently. Out of nowhere, the game started looking extremely pixelated, with heavy shimmering and jagged edges ("staircase effect") on objects, especially when looking at them up close or moving the camera.
Here is what I've already tried, and absolutely nothing worked:
Turning Anti-Aliasing (AA) ON/OFF in-game (doesn't change anything, edges stay jagged).
Disabling Film Grain, Motion Blur, and Chromatic Aberration.
Disabling NVIDIA HBAO+.
Deleting the video.scr file in Documents to reset the game settings.
Resetting NVIDIA Control Panel global and program settings to default.
Checking my Windows display scale (it's at 100%) and monitor refresh rate.
Verifying game files integrity on Steam.
Restarting graphics drivers (Win + Ctrl + Shift + B).
When I tried forcing some AA settings in the Nvidia Control Panel (like transparency supersampling), my FPS just dropped drastically, but the jagged edges remained. This never happened before.
Has anyone experienced this sudden loss of image clarity/AA bug in Dying Light, and is there a known fix? Thanks!
