What’s a more niche song you would love to see them play live?

Personally, although I know it would probably never happen, I would love a concert where they only played their less played songs. Setlist something like:

  1. You Without End

  2. Tunnel of Trees

  3. Daedalus

  4. Glint

  5. Vertigo

  6. Luna

  7. Near

  8. And then wrap it up with Dream House of course

Do you guys think we will ever see a live performance of Tunnel Of Trees again? It’s their 2nd least played song and the least recent song they’ve played live😭

Anyone else curious what the other B-Side from OCHL was and if it will ever be released?

Interesting that they ended up only releasing Black Brick of the apparent 2 completed B-Sides in existence from OCHL

Why do some users votes count as 2 votes for genre voting?

Is there like a certain requirement to get that privilege? I’ve written literal genre descriptors for the site and don’t have it so i’m just curious lol

Anyone else think it’s crazy how different George sounds on this album?

For those who don’t know, this is the only LP by Rise Of Caligula, the Deathgrind band George and Kerry were in before starting Deafheaven

He said the thing!!!

Never realized this was in Roads to Judah until today and it inspired this dumb meme lol

Opeth’s Blackwater Park has lost its Death Metal genre tag, meaning Death and Gojira alone now make up the top 6 Death Metal albums of all time

What 10 Million bloodpoints on a Prestige 100 character got me. Why are we punishing people who don’t have a P100? REVERT THE CAKE RARITY!

This is the most the community has ever come together on an issue. REVERT THE CAKE RARITY!

Survivors and killers alike have never come together so much over something

“Demo” was released 16 years ago this month. What’s your favorite song off it? What do you like, what do you not? How does it shape up to the rest of their discography?

What album did you dislike on first listen but now love and why?

Jane Doe by Converge for me. I hadn’t heard anything like Jacobs vocals before it and they came off as gimmicky for a while, but after some time I realized I was humming Concubine to myself and I couldn’t stop thinking about the album. The love has only grown from there lol, now this is one of my most played albums

What is your opinion on Death To All?

I think Max does a fantastic job at performing Chucks vocals and is great at playing the complex guitar parts as well. I think the way they did it was perfect, only composing of prior members of the band minus Max.

Considering seeing them with Mastodon

What do you guys think the show would look like? I know it’s a pretty awesome crowd when they’re a headliner but i’m unsure how a crowd there to see Mastodon would feel about Deafheavens music. I’m not really interested in going if it’s gonna be a lame crowd, the crowd is part of the experience for me. I like Mastodons stuff but not enough to make a long drive if the crowd is gonna be lame for Deafheaven because I like their stuff way more.

Looking for the happiest most joyful albums I can find

Drop the recommendation if you’ve got one!

(I don’t need Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder, i’ve already heard it and that’s what inspired this post lol)

What is your biggest metal What if?

Mine is definitely What if Terrorizer never broke up. I think if they had continued after World Downfall they could’ve had one of the best deathgrind/grindcore runs in the whole genre.
