Sweet little cut glass claret jug I picked up for free from someone in a neighboring town. Unfortunately there is no makers mark on it, but it looks very similar to other WMF pieces. Really love it and need to use it more often than I do. Would love to hear others thoughts/info. Cheers
Bridge lamp that I’m obsessed with. I have so many lamps (all being used) and am wondering if I should make room for this deco beauty. What do you think? Listed at $50. I’d of course need to re-wire it and get a fitting for a glass shade. I have no idea how the shade fittings work or how easy it is to install, but know how to re-wire. Thoughts?

Finally crossed this off my bucket list today- and it was truly incredible. Gave me goosebumps with each turn of the corner due to the sheer beauty and grandeur. Figured since this theater gets featured relatively frequently on here I’d focus on some of the furnishings and lighting I photographed. A couple interesting things I learned- it costs approximately $400 an hour for the lighting to be on and the theater was nearly demolished to build a BART parking garage in the 70’s. Cheers
Took a little break in Grace Cathedral in SF to visit this powerful piece. Although I’m not religious, this piece makes me bleary eyed. Haring created this in 1990 a couple weeks before his death. It is considered his final work. It is located in the cathedrals “AIDS Interfaith Memorial Chapel”. I will forever be grateful to the Grace ministry for offering early refuge during the aids crisis- where most people with aids were refused any kind of religious services. This is one of 9 that were cast in bronze.
I’ve had this pair of rope sandals for over 10 years now. I wear them all the time in warm climates- they have great traction on natural surfaces/road/sidewalks, are extremely comfortable, washable AND durable. Finally decided to get a replacement pair as the sole is getting rather thin on the heel (after 10 years- that’s a great run). Made out of up-cycled cut offs from East Wind hammock manufacturing. Photo of the old pair (yes they need a wash, just got back from a week in Sierra national forest) and the new pair for comparison. Can’t wait to rock the brown for another decade- thanks all at East Wind Community!
Picked up this 8 day Westminster chime Kienzle clock in SF from a nice guy who was moving from his long time apartment in the Castro. He had it shipped from Germany in the 80’s where he found it. Had the movement refurbished and it works like a champ. The chime is also really exquisite sounding. Circa early 30’s.
Probably an easy one, but haven’t seen it featured on this sub yet!
Hey opal lovers, would appreciate some help identifying these two opals. One is very clear, the other has quite the brown shade. My guess is Ethiopian for the first, and the brown one Mexican opal? Would love second/third opinions! Cheers
Picked up this can opener from 1929 at a little vintage shop in central VA for $5 about 10 years ago. Works better than any can opener I have ever used, super ergonomic, easy on the hands, easy to crank and going strong almost 100 years down the line. They just don’t make em like they used too!

Sterling silver, 14k bezel setting and details, cats eye tourmaline and a “cats eye” rutilated quartz. Hand fabricated. Mediocre photos but excited it’s done.
Someone recently shared their 1970s mirrored clock so I thought I’d share my 1930’s Telechron mirrored art deco (electric) clock. Found at a flea market for $40 and couldn’t resist another clock- two twenties later and it’s been keeping time like a champ for the past couple years now.
Stoked on this find. Curious if anyone knows anything about it- base looks original- the shade although is questionable? Not sure. The base is signed JC or maybe TC something- hoping someone recognizes the makers mark. Looks similar to a lamp by “Charles Ranc”- guessing different casting houses/manufactures did spin offs of his designs. Love knowing the history of the pieces I collect so if anyone has any expertise I’d be delighted to hear! Cheers

I’m looking for some silk thread for stringing some beads- there used to be a bead store on Piedmont but it seems it’s no longer :( additionally there was a fantastic bead store in SF in SOMA that had a fantastic selection of goods- also sad to see it’s no longer existent. Anyone have any recommendations? I don’t spend money at big box stores- just as a prerequisite. Looking for your favorite locally owned spot. Thanks neighbors!
I was quite heartbroken to leave it behind- it was $175 which seemed like a really good steal- especially given you NEVER see art nouveau furniture in the states. Regret not taking more photos- the lower doors were carved gorgeously. To the woman who I convinced to buy it since I couldn’t- if by chance you see this please post it when it finds its new home!
