parents additional info

when filling out the parents section and for the additional information part, do they want any circumstances they are in/lived in?

i know for my NCP, he fought in his country’s civil war at age 14 and was raised with hardly anything. is that too much about him or can i put stuff like that?

main question, do they want info from

now or can i also add “growing up” info for them?

▲ 1 r/ACT

Is it worth taking ACT for the first time in September as an incoming senior?

I’ve never taken the ACT, SAT twice tho. I lowk don’t think SAT is doing me justice but either way i’m retaking in august but I wanted to see my chances with ACT.

I’ll be a senior this fall. Is the September date too late for college apps whether I submit or not?

(I wanted to do QB but if not I’ll be doing EA or ED)

how do i break up someone?

i guess the title is self explanatory BUT, how would you do it to someone you won’t see in 3 months?

i’ve been broken up with but i’ve never done the breaking up. if sounds bad but i might go insane if i don’t. the relationship is fine, she’s perfect, we’re happy, but my background and future is stopping me. we have known eachother for 5-6 years and been together for 2.5.

i can’t explain much without going into a full rant but yeah. (essentially i am in a queer relationship whereas my entire family is homophobic and i cannot handle the burden upon me) so i’ve come to terms with this happening but idk how?

over text is bad but is that my only choice? or do i just try and last 3 more months?

(senior year is coming up so it’s an even more stressful timing)

Should I breakup with my GF? (17F , 17F)

Me and my girlfriend have been together for approx. 2.5 years. We’ve known eachother for 5-6 before that and we’ve clicked ever since. Everyone knows us as “the DUO” (I am not out the closet, my issue).

Yes, we are happy. I love her TONS and it’s reciprocated. But recently, or maybe for the past year, I have been really thinking about whether I am happy. I come from a strict immigrant christian background so many may get the picture. She comes from the opposite, so supportive.

My mom found out about us maybe 2 months into the relationship. She told me break up immediately and I pretended to do so. She on the other hand is very open about us. I don’t want to be secret forever, I am a very family oriented person but I could NEVER come out. It’s not a thing where I’m letting them control me. It’s more of an internalized homophobia where I can never accept this is who I am, if this is who I am.

I am stressed so constantly thinking about this and it’s taking a huge toll on me, and senior year is coming up and I know if I don’t get rid of this weight off my chest it’ll be way harder. Before this relationship, I was with a guy where we were on and off but he eventually cheated on me. After that my mental health went steeply downhill and I thought I finally got back up, but I feel like it’s just continued.

If I stay in this relationship part of me will be happy, the other part will be miserable. This isn’t fair to her either because she deserves someone who can love her openly and fully, and I just can’t. I love her a lot but I physically cannot.

I have been thinking about this for about a year, and as of recently it’s really been hurting a lot more as more time goes by. I was thinking of dropping the bomb before school ends but is that bad? The issue is school ended unexpectedly and I won’t be seeing her til next school year (travels). But breaking up over text is TERRIBLE.

What do I do, and how do I do it?

is it worth applying

BREAKDOWN

my counselor really wants me to do questbridge ncm this fall.

i got rejected from cps so that’s a starter:( at the same time if i were to apply and rank i would only do 3, realistically 2. is it worth the hassle for only 2 colleges even if i did or didn’t match? my stats aren’t super competitive nationally either but compared to my classmates they are so that’s why she wants me to try but i feel like it’s useless.

but at the same time i want to bc you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take

this is more of a rant but so BASICALLY my principal came out to all ap students about last friday (there isn’t many of us only like 4 courses) and said that they missed payment deadlines for the test so we MAY not be able to take the exam. apush is tmr and we haven’t heard anything back from the principal and im just upset bc it’s so dumb and basically i slaved calc ab all year for nothing 🫩🫩🫩
