Foldicon: give boring Mac folders a personality

AppStore: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/foldicon/id6801609658

Problem:

Open Finder/Desktop. It's the wall of the same folder, again and again. Work, photos, side projects, taxes same box. You don't see nothing. You see names.

What Foldicon Offers:

It has more than 200+ icons to choose from, more added in coming updates also you can make your own Foldicon's inside the app. Drop a photo of yourself, your dog, a moment, a painting. It gets redrawn as a folder icon in the same style as the rest of the set not a raw photo jammed into a folder shape.

Features:

  • Drag and drop any folder or drop several at once
  • One-click apply, one-click revert
  • 200+ curated vibe icons across moodboards
  • Make your own Foldicon from a photo, redrawn in the same style as the library
  • iCloud sync for generated icons

Pricing:

The icon library is completely free, and it stays free. Future icons get added to the app for free as well.

Custom Foldicons use coins. There’s one pack:
10 Coins for $2.99 —  so that’s 10 custom folders.

No subscriptions. You only pay if you want to create your own Foldicon's

AI Disclaimer:

App was made using claude :). For the people who will come down just to type “AI slop”. Please add something else to it. Genuine critique is always welcome and it can actually help improve the app down the lane.

Comparison:

Flairy : Is the closer comparison, and it’s a good one. But it has limited choices

Most other apps on the App Store share the same old idea; a color picker and an emoji stamped on the default folder. But nothing that feels personal or vibey Foldicon changes that.

Tacque – Free mechanical keyboard sounds for Mac

Problem:

I use mechanical keyboards at home and really like the typing feel, but when I’m out with just my MacBook I miss it. Kinda feel guilty how used to it I’ve gotten, but I’m sure a lot of people feel the same. So here’s Tacque.

Comparison:

Apps like Klack and Typemac are both really good — solid, low latency, sound nice.

Tacque has pretty much the same core features (spatial audio, works system-wide, smart muting, etc). These are all small utility apps so there’s only so much you can do with features and latency. It mostly just comes down to personal preference and which sounds you like better.

Tacque is meant to feel a bit more community focused. It’s free, supports custom sound packs so you can craft your own or upload sounds that you already have. I’d open source it and share it on GitHub but that would create messy binary upload conflicts since it’s already on the App Store, so I’d rather not deal with that.

Pricing
Free, with an optional $0.99 tip if you like it.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tacque/id6778518424?mt=12

If you enjoy it, a quick rating on the App Store would help a lot :)

Genuine feedback and feature ideas are always welcome though. Drop a comment with your thoughts and I’ll try to improve things in the next update.

AI Disclaimer: Genuine critique is always fine. But for anyone who just drops by to say “AI slop” adds nothing to conversation here and to calm your excited tippy toes I made this app using AI tools lol. It doesn’t need to be hand coded or crafted. Neither am I gonna spend days or weeks of my free time for something that's not going to compensate me like apps I mentioned above.

Anyone willing to sell their Step 1 UWorld?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone who has already finished Step 1 would be willing to sell their UWorld. I’m happy to negotiate the price.

Thank you in advance!

Strimix – IP-TV, beautifully reimagined for macOS

Problem (What problem does your app solve?)

Most IPTV players on Apple devices either have dated interfaces or only support Xtream Codes and M3U playlists. Strimix provides a modern, native Apple experience with support for Stalker Portals, Xtream Codes, and M3U playlists, plus seamless iCloud Sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

Comparison (Name 1–2 top competitors and describe how what you offer is better.)

Compared to popular IPTV players like iSTB and STBEmu, Strimix offers a fully native experience across the entire Apple ecosystem with iCloud Sync, regular weekly updates, and a modern SwiftUI interface. Unlike many IPTV players that only support Xtream Codes and M3U, Strimix also supports Stalker Portals, a protocol that relatively few modern IPTV players support. Going PRO removes watermark otherwise all features are unlocked and free to use and test.

Pricing (Include price amounts + link.)

  • Free – All features included (watermark/ad-supported)
  • Monthly: $1.99/month
  • Yearly: $9.99/year
  • Lifetime: $29.99 (w/family sharing)

[AppStore] App that shows live football scores in your MacBook notch ⚽

Built Notch Score — a small native macOS app that puts live football scores directly in the notch so you can keep working without opening tabs or checking your phone.

Made with SwiftUI. Completely free.

Open to any feedback or feature ideas. If you enjoy it, a positive rating on the App Store would really help.

I made a free menu-bar app that adds mechanical keyboard sounds to your Mac (Tacque)

I missed the sound and feel of a mechanical keyboard but didn’t always want to carry one around, so I built Tacque.

It lives in your menu bar and adds keyboard sounds to whatever you’re typing on — MacBook keyboard, Magic Keyboard, anything. There are multiple sound packs, and it even supports spatial audio, so keys feel like they’re coming from where you actually press. It sounds gimmicky until you try it.

One fair question: is this a keylogger?

Totally valid concern for anything that reacts to typing.

Tacque doesn’t see what you type or track individual keys — it just receives a basic system event that a key was pressed so it can play a sound. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

It runs inside Apple’s sandbox enviroment and is reviewed for the Mac App Store, so it’s already restricted in what it can access.

If you want to verify it yourself, you can monitor network activity with any third-party tools like Little Snitch

It’s completely free. There’s an optional $0.99 tip if you want to support development, but it unlocks nothing.

Requires macOS 15+

Would love feedback

Is this it? Is this maximum potential?

I’m trying to understand if what I’m seeing is normal or not. I’ve attached screenshots from my dashboard showing rewarded ads eCPM mainly from Tier 1 countries. My app is iOS only and most of my users are from these regions.

Earning from AdMob was never really the goal, it’s more of a nudge toward the PRO subscription. I only run rewarded ads no banners or anything else to keep things feeling premium and the conversion to PRO is actually working great.

I started running ads this Monday so data is still early but I’m trying to get a sense of what scaling looks like. Right now I’m around 2–3 dollars a day, so in theory if I scale impressions 10x does that just become 20–30 that's it?

With Tier 1 iOS traffic I kind of expected higher rewarded eCPMs. Is this normal long term behavior for AdMob or is there still meaningful upside with optimization or mediation

So basically getting to $100/day would mean scaling the app to 50X lol?

[Free] Tacque — adding mechanical sounds back to macOS

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tacque/id6778518424

We went from typewriters to silent laptops.

Tacque brings the sound of typing back to macOS — soft thocks, sharp clacks, everywhere you type.

  • Multiple keyboard sound profiles
  • Low-latency audio (feels instant)
  • Works across all apps on macOS
  • Simple, minimal setup

There’s already a great app called Klack I built Tacque as a free alternative.

And yes — Tacque is completely free.

There’s a small tip jar in Settings if you’d like to buy me a coffee - otherwise enjoy 🙂

Would love feedback — especially on new sound ideas or features
