One thing i always wondered about chizuru's appeareance. A stupid question

Haven't caught up to the manga for several years now. Got this sub suggested to me and it reminds me of a question i always had

Chizuru ichinose is supposed her low maintainance student mode while mizuhara is her pretty girlfriend mode. But why does ichinose have braids while mizuhara has her hair down?

Im not a girl so please enlighten me. Having to do 2 braids seems much more like a waste of time compared to to just letting it lose

Why do redditors assume bunch of stuff, gets aggressive, then downvote you when you try to explain yourself?

I asked a legit question looking for advice with a lot of context - taking account the possible "why didn't you xyz" that I will get. Half comments were neutral while the other half someone gave me a snarky reply that indicated they assumed a bunch of stuff and ignoring all the nuances, or even that they didn't do any actual work to read the post and just assumed everthing by title.

I tried to explain myself, sometimes retyping things that were already on the post and got downvoted while the snarky comments got upvoted. I was like what did I possible say or do to warrant that other than people just didn't want me to clarify?

Honestly, these kinds of experiences had some effects on my self esteem. If what happen was really unjust, why did people upvote the snarky comment while I get downvoted? Maybe I'm the idiot of the situation here and should just know my place and learn not talk back

Is it annoying to email the professor asking about the instructions to an assigment that was already discussed in class?

The subject is bioinformatics and we use google classroom for posting information and submission of work.

During class, the professor posted 5 research paper and gave verbal instructions on what to do with the genes being discussed in the paper. For example, for paper 4 find a suitable primer and probr for this gene. Paper 5 find do xyz etc. So, there are 5 questions in total

I took more time to complete a question than expected. When the professor moved on to telling instructions for another question i may have missed some because i was still stuck solving the previous one. I didn't quite catch what the 2 of the 5 questions were

Would it be obnoxious to email the professor asking them again the instructions for each questions, even if they already discussed that in class? The instructions to the 5 questions weren't posted anywhere and so was the due date (that i think i might have missed as well). Even the questions I've caught on I'm not sure if I understood it or not

I don't want to be one of those obnoxious student that keeps asking the professor stupid question that's been answered already. It's like 'i've already told you everything, why are you wasting my time making me typing out for you individually?'

And others don't seem to have to have the same problem as me

I don't feel like I want to lose weight anymore after weight gain

Im 170cm, curretly 74.5kg

Exactly 2 years ago, I was at the same weight at 75kg. It took me 1 month to lose 5kg (which in hindsight was too extreme, since i only ate 1 meal per day that month) , and the rest of the year of more sustainable calorie restrictions to lose another 5kg, ending up at 65kg on june 2025

From june, I gained back 2kg by july, now 67kg. But by november i was able to lose 7kg and was my lowest weight at 60kg. It stayed the same

However, at beginning of this year I was in a really bad head space. I've been faced with many major setbacks and had so much anxiety that my demons won me over and I started self destructing. I didn't do anything stupid, but I started eating copiously, partly to cope with my anxiety, partly because I view myself as a loser and 'eating unhealthy is what a fat loser would do'. I know even though i was at an OK weight, deep down I still view myself as a fat loser since I've been overweight since childhood. There's an extremely dangerous and macabre sense of vindication one gets when self destructing. As a result I gained 15kg back. 65kg by June

It's almost been 2 months now and my weight just meanders around 75kg. Im in a much better head space and is able to attend my uni class regularly and socialize like a normal person.

It'd be nice if I could lose weight. But the truth is that I just couldn't put myself to do it anymore. I don't want to count calories. I don't want to eat grilled chicken or drink protein shakes anymore. This is worrying. I don't know if this is simply because of burnout (2 years of work destroyed by 6 months), or has the comfortability killed my willpower to do anything. I need some input in this

I've actually brought this up to my therapist and she seems dismissive of it. She's like 'it's fine you don't need to lose weight'. But I want to? Problem is I just feel like I can't be bothered anymore

How to deal with negative emotions? Right now I can only either analyse the situation that's causing me distress or distract myself and it's not working

Personally, if there is something that is causing me significant distress (like if i got mean comments on my work or felt humiliated) it is impossible for me to let go. I will definitely take it personally. 2 things either happen. I either:

  1. Think through the situation that is caused the negative emotion to happen. I analyze the situation from the start and exhaust all the outcomes to see how much is my failing and how much is the other person being unecessary hard on me. "How would someone else react if they were in my position". Something like that

  2. Try to supress it by occupying my mind with other activities

The 1st one is more painful since im reopening the wound and it might not gurantee to heal since i could be locked into this analysis for up to 1-2 days and Id be moody the whole time. The second allows me to 'get over it' but the feeling of anxiety still lingers. I subconciously won't be able to let myself 'rest'

There has to be a better way to deal with it I think. Most people don't seem to suffer as much every day

Is mantling just LARP?

Mantling is a method of apotheosis when a being (typically a mortal) takes on or is passed the "mantle" or role of a different entity such as a Daedric Prince or god through some esoteric imitation of the entity's role or meta narrative, such that they fully become that role and the Aurbis no longer sees a difference between the two. We've seen this with the tribunals, TALOS, and CoC (now sheogorath)

Need some suggestion for hammerhall ghyra colors

Im painting freeguild steelhelms. At first i went with olive green shirt and khorne red shawl (basically to indicate that they're still hammerhal but greener) and it just looks like a tomato. Pure green i feel would make them look too much like the living city color

When I feel like im at fault i get demotivated, but i get super motivated when I know others are at fault

Idk if this is fits this sub but idk where else to post it

When things get hard my mind will wander off to my experience in the past where i was badly treated. When I feel like it's my fault for failing or being annoying, and other people were rightfully treating me like how they did, that im being 'taught a lesson', i get demotivated real fast. This is illogical since deficiencies should motivate you to work harder to fix it, but it bruises my self esteem in a way that makes anything i do feel useless

However when i feel like Ive been done wrong and their treatment of me is unjust. In other words if I know for the fact that they're assholes. I get extremely motivated to do my work and follow through with my goals so i could come out better then them as a form of revenge

Can wisdom teeth removal lead to less prominent cheekbones?

One of the thing i had going on for me are my cheekbones. However, since i had gotten my left wisdom tooth removed i feel like the left side looks a bit more rounder than before

It's not inflammation. This has been more than a week after removal and i don't feel anymore pain or itchiness

Broke thin connecting pieces of plastic. What should i do?

I accidentally broke a flail's chain and a flag staff in 2 of my minis. From my experience, plastic glue does nothing when it comes to plastic this thin. What should i do to fix it? I've thought about:

  1. Using a sprue as a 'splint'. Then plastic or super glue the 3 pieces together and maybe reinforce with tape

  2. Just wrap both pieces with tape at the cost of looking shoddy and the fixation likely not being permanent

  3. Ignore it and gaslight myself the broken piece doesn't exist in the first place

How do you even suceed in life with AuDHD?

The most important factor required in order to suceed whether it is in academics, sports/fitness, busineiss, is discipline - the ability to do things that need to be done whether you like it or not. Talent can only carry you so far, but consistency always wins

But ADHD is an executive dysfunction that directly hinders this. It's not like we're lazy. It's that we're it is neurologically harder for us compared to compared to other people

At the sams time autism impairs our social function. We cannot get away with the lack of discipline with charisma and social leverages

It seems like im doomed to be a failure

How to get start playing iron warriors in 40k?

Hello Im a complete beginner to 40k here and am interested in making an iron warrior army. I got several questions

  1. Iron Warriors in 40k are part of chaos space marine factions right? Which means they play by the rules of the CSM codex? If so are units from the iron warrior combat patrol part of the codex's list and not 'count-as'?

  2. What models should i use to make an iron warrior army? Csm legionaries feels a tad bit too Black Legion to me with their decorative gold trims and eye of horus motifs to convince myself they can be iron warriors

How meticulous do i have to be when stripping off paint to repaint again?

Bought 2nd hand model to strip and repaint. Ive been using an acrylic remover fluid with toothbrush and qtips to remove them and most come off rather easily

However in some models there are some patches or lines of paints along the crevices or on the borders of different section on the plastic that no matter how much i scrub it won't come off. Ive used toothpicks to dig them, but to no effect

Should i try harder or just prime over them anyway? Would there be any problem if there are still residues when i repaint?

Does anyone feel like they can't rest and enjoy hobby until they fix their life?

I feel like there are a lot of things i need to fix in my life. Need to get my grades up since it's very low, need to socialize more, need to cut down my weight, need to prove the haters who looked down on me

I recently found special interests in warhammer. Eventhough im very interested in the lore and wanted to paint more miniature, I couldn't bare myself to spend anymore money other than the intro box - which i had bought i found i like painting - into it because I haven't 'earned' the right to chill out. You can only do so when you're thriving as an add-on

It also goes the same for video games as well. I can't get any joy playing any of them. But the time not spent on video games didn't 100% translate to productivity either. Most of them instead were just spent on doomscrolling and watching useless youtube essays

So hobbies feels unearned or are dull but at the same time I can't find enjoyment in work either. Studying is mostly boring but there's also the anxiety component to it of 'it might go wrong' or 'i might fail'

Buying then stripping paint, then repainting. Is it worth it for this faction?

One of the ways you can save on money is buying painted sets on second hand market and repainting them

Ive seen a good deal on facebook. The original cities spearhead (the one with the cav and cav marshal) painted, at half the price. Thinking about getting it. Would save me 3-4 times the cost if i had bought the models separately

However with how intricate and complex this faction's minis are, would this be a wise decision. Some models seem to be hard to paint when assembled like the canon since there's a shield blocking it

I just want your opinion on this
