Completely free app for managing kids chores/household tasks

Hi everyone! I was tired of every app having in app purchases, so I made a cute chores app for completely free.

You can try it out here: https://apps.apple.com/app/little-journeys-gamify-chores/id6767155759

It's called Little Journeys, and it puts families in a team together, giving parents visibility over the status of their household chores with gamified elements to motivate kids.

It's built by only me and one other person, so we are super open to taking feedback and adding new features based on demand!

I made a completely free household task/chore management app. Feedback wanted!

Hi! I’m in college, and made Little Journeys as part of a course. I think it turned out really well and I want to keep working on it.

Would love feedback from those who are more experienced here, as this is my first app.

Some specific open questions I have:

  1. Should I focus on marketing specifically to families, or expand language to “people who live together”? The app works for anyone who shares daily tasks or live in a shared space, like roommates or co-ops. However, I’ve always gotten the advice to have a specific audience. What do you think?

  2. How does the in game economy feel? I am worried that starting up feels to slow, and am trying to design a smoother system. What works in your projects?

Thanks to everyone who is able to give advice! The app is here: https://apps.apple.com/app/little-journeys-gamify-chores/id6767155759

College student working on a task management app for families. What do you think of my screenshots?

Hello! I would love some advice from the experienced people on this sub, as this is my first app and first experience making screenshots.

A few specific questions I’m hoping for feedback on:

  1. Should I keep the last two images, or is more better? I understand that the first three will be the only ones that show up on the App Store preview anyways.

  2. Do the text and images make it obvious what the app is? What do you think the app is about if you were to only see the screenshots?

Thank you so much!! The App Store listing is here: https://apps.apple.com/app/little-journeys-gamify-chores/id6767155759

I made a completely free chore tracker and household management app

Hi everyone! I made this app as part of a college course and wanted to share it here in case it’s useful for anyone.

Little Journeys is a gamified chores manager built for families. Parents are able to have full visibility over everyone’s current to-dos and see what’s been done and what’s behind.

It uses a cute avatar system and quest locations to motivate kids. The more you contribute to the household, the more coins you get to buy pets, customizables, etc.

Let me know if you try it and what you think! As part of the course, we have to gather 10 pieces of qualitative feedback, so you’d really be helping me out if you’re able to try it.

Little Journeys, a gamified chores app for people living together.

We’re a small team of two college students working on Little Journeys.

It started as a course project, but we’re hoping to make it bigger. I would really appreciate constructive feedback from people who are familiar with the gamification space.

Also, as part of the course, we need to get 10 pieces of qualitative feedback, so you’d really be helping us out!
