Has UPI officially become India’s default payment system now?
According to RBI’s latest Payments System Report, UPI processed 85.5% of all payment transactions in India by volume during the second half of CY 2025. That’s an insane level of dominance for a system that was launched less than a decade ago.
What’s interesting is that while UPI dominates transaction count, RTGS still handles the majority of total transaction value because large corporate and institutional transfers continue to happen there. UPI mainly powers India’s everyday economy chai shops, kirana stores, cabs, restaurants, shopping, bill payments, literally everything.
The bigger trend here is how quickly India has moved away from cash and debit cards. RBI data also shows debit card usage has fallen sharply over the last few years as QR payments and smartphone-led transactions exploded across the country.
Honestly, UPI doesn’t even feel like a payment app anymore. It feels like digital infrastructure at this point.
No hands, no excuses just pure talent, This little boy just redefined determination for me ❤️
This young boy creating beautiful handicrafts despite not having hands is one of the most inspiring things I’ve seen today. No complaints, no self-pity, just pure focus, confidence, and determination to create something meaningful.
The way he adapts, learns, and keeps going with a smile honestly says more about strength than any motivational speech ever could. Stories like these remind us that talent, passion, and courage can overcome limitations that most people think are impossible ❤️
Zyada Kuch Nai their tiny shop opening felt bigger than any mall launch 🥺❤️
A small roadside shop opening, simple setup, no fancy decorations but the happiness on this family’s faces genuinely feels priceless. The way they celebrated every little moment, especially with the little kid standing there watching it all, is enough to melt anyone’s heart 🥺

Bhopal is slowly losing its green lungs and tiger corridors
Bhopal and nearby forest regions have become increasingly important for tiger movement and breeding in central India, especially with Madhya Pradesh expanding major tiger corridor projects connecting reserves like Satpura, Ratapani, Pench, and other forest landscapes. Conservationists have repeatedly warned that unchecked urban expansion, highways, tree cutting, and infrastructure pressure around these green zones could damage crucial wildlife corridors and breeding habitats.
Many people call these forests the lungs of Bhopal because they not only support wildlife but also help regulate the city’s ecology, air quality, and groundwater. With tiger movement increasing across MP’s forest corridors in recent years, the debate is now bigger than just conservation - it’s about whether cities can expand without destroying the ecosystems around them.
Do you think fitness automatically makes men more attractive?
A lot of people say that a strong body and quiet confidence instantly make a man more attractive, sometimes even more than expensive clothes, money, or flashy lifestyles.
The logic is simple: fitness shows discipline, while confidence changes the way you carry yourself, talk, walk, and handle situations.
Do you guys agree with this or do you think attractiveness is way more complicated in real life?
AITK for stopping people from borrowing my charger all the time?
I’m the only person in my group who always carries a charger and power bank, so naturally everyone keeps asking to borrow them. At first I didn’t mind, but it got annoying when people started taking them without asking, forgetting to return them, or draining my power bank completely.
So recently I stopped lending them out unless it’s an actual emergency. Now some friends are calling me selfish and saying it’s just a charger.
I paid for my stuff and I’m tired of constantly chasing people to get it back. Is setting that boundary really unreasonable? AITK?

timesofindia.indiatimes.comIndia doesn’t lack money, it lacks honest politicians - Nitin Gadkari
Nitin Gadkari’s statement honestly connects with a lot of people because India’s growth story has never been about lack of potential. The country already has talent, resources, entrepreneurs, investors, and one of the world’s biggest consumer markets.
What people often feel is missing is consistent governance, policy execution, accountability, and leaders focused on long-term development instead of endless political drama. Infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, jobs, and investor confidence all improve when governments focus more on execution than headlines.
At the end of the day, stock markets and economies grow strongest when there is trust in leadership, stability in policy, and visible development on the ground.
That’s probably why this statement resonated with so many people online
Same fuel, different prices: Why does petrol cost ₹113 in one state and ₹97 in another?
Petrol prices across India still vary massively despite the fuel being sourced from the same national supply chain. Andhra Pradesh is currently among the most expensive at ₹113/litre, while states like Arunachal Pradesh and UTs like Andaman & Nicobar are far cheaper.
A huge part of this difference comes from state-level VAT and local taxes added on top of central excise duties. That’s why neighbouring states can sometimes have surprisingly different fuel prices even when crude oil prices remain stable globally.
It’s one of the clearest examples of how taxation directly affects everyday living costs in India, especially for middle-class families, transport workers, and businesses that depend heavily on fuel.
Is attendance in DU actually about academics anymore or just random enforcement?
The biggest issue right now in DU isn’t even strict attendance, it’s the complete inconsistency. Some colleges are reportedly allowing students with 10–30% attendance to sit for exams, while others are enforcing Is attendance in DU actually about academics anymore or just random enforcement? the attendance debate even messier.
At the same time, there’s also a section of students who barely attend classes and still expect last-minute relief every semester.
Either DU should strictly enforce one attendance policy across all colleges or stop pretending the rules are the same for everyone.
If one disputed question can affect thousands of ranks, is the CLAT system flawed?
The Allahabad High Court has set aside the earlier single-judge order that directed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the CLAT UG 2026 merit list. The Division Bench restored the original final answer key and ruled that courts should exercise limited interference in academic matters and expert evaluation.
The controversy started after objections were raised against certain CLAT 2026 logical reasoning questions, with an earlier HC order asking the Consortium to award marks for multiple answers and revise the rankings. That decision had created massive uncertainty around counselling and admissions for thousands of aspirants.
Now that the original merit list stands restored, do you think this brings stability to the admission process, or were some students unfairly denied justice because of questionable answer keys?
As a strong men would you fight for the relationship or just walk away?
But realistically, do you guys agree with this mindset?
Is walking away silently the strongest thing a man can do, or is it immature to avoid difficult conversations and emotional closure?
AITK for stopping gym advice after people kept making fun of my progress?
I recently started taking fitness seriously and was sharing my progress and workout tips with friends because they used to ask me about it. But after a while, some of them started joking about my diet, gym selfies, and “fitness era” every chance they got.
So I stopped giving advice, stopped helping with workout plans, and now just focus on myself. Recently one of them asked why I’ve become “so secretive” and said I act like I’m better than everyone now.
I’m not trying to act superior, I just got tired of being mocked for something I was genuinely excited about. Was pulling back the wrong move, or just protecting my energy? AITK?

Peepli Live was way ahead of its time and still feels painfully relevant today
Peepli Live is still one of the most brutally honest political satire films made in India. What begins as dark humour slowly turns into a disturbing commentary on poverty, TRP-driven media, and political opportunism.
The film never tries too hard to be emotional or preachy, which is exactly why it hits so hard. Its grounded performances, realistic rural setting, and uncomfortable honesty make it feel just as relevant today as it did on release.
