One of my neighbors asked if I would be willing to cook him a few meals a week. I'm a home cook who has been cooking and feeding my family since I was old enough to use a stove, by no means a professional but I don't hear many complaints. I want to set a flat rate just to make it easier on myself. I was thinking maybe 20 to 25 a dish. I don't want to overcharge him but I also want to make sure I'm covering everything on my end. The menu is very flexible and would include more expensive meals like salmon, spinach, with home cooked sourdough bread to lower cost and simpler meals like sloppy joes and salad. He's not picky and is down for whatever we want to cook. I will just be making my regular menu for myself and my husband with an extra serving for my neighbor. I'm in goshen Indiana, a smallish town in the Midwest just to give a price idea.
