Why do they already get rid of the indie music after hours. I don’t mind electronic music but gf hates it and I’d love to have a dance to old indie tunes.
Last year round the twist had a brilliant guy dj’ing. Devastated to not see him back this year.

First time in 5 weeks or so it’s actually felt comfortable. Trousers, short sleeve shirt/tshirt. Being able to walk without sweating within seconds. I could cry. Absolute bliss. Why can’t it just stay like this. Oh well back to hell in a few days.

Literally the worst delivery company in the UK. Worse than Ervi by a million miles. Really needed this parcel today. I already missed them yesterday so thought better be safe than sorry, I went through their website, changed the delivery to local collection point at the Post Office - an option on their own website.
But apparently the delivery driver can’t read and it’s not possible to identify where their own bloody post office is. Ffs.
For us in the south seriously when are we going to get a cool night. I’m just begging for one single night where I can actually sleep comfortably. Last 2-3 days were heading the right way, winds were cooling. Now it’s back up to 29 in my flat tonight. I hate this country’s weather system so much. Just non-stop sweating. I’ve never had a sweatier July in all my life.
Even next week met office app says nearly 20 degrees at my optimal bedtime between 11-midnight. I can see it cools down around 5-6am but that’s too late. The sun is back rising again then.

Based in wales. I run a music blog and 13 years ago posted about a band and shared their new music video and added an image of the band.
Today I received an email from the photographer organisation saying I have to pay a fee, and have said simply removing the article won’t make it go away and they’ve demanded hundreds of pounds for its retrospective use.
My site is not for profit. I’ve made no money or financial gain from this article or image. I’m in no financial position to be paying for the image. I normally get sent images via the record label for use but this must have been before the site became more established and I was just sharing music (via YouTube embed).
This email has quite shocked me and not sure how to proceed. I never intended to infringe on any copyright and simply just shared an image I found online, obviously I cannot remember the site I found the image on but likely was on google. I normally credit all photos on the site but this one none was available at the time. If someone had contacted me at the time I would’ve removed it immediately.
Grateful for any advice. TIA
EDIT: some further updates - the article I posted has only been viewed 300 times in 13 years.
The image itself if I search is available all over the interent, which I know doesn't excuse the fact I have inadvertently used it, but it's all over websites such as Pintrest, personal fashion blogs, online articles, facebook, twitter.
Also I'm sure the image had I purchased would have been available at full resolution, so could I query any retrospective fee based on the image that's been uploaded is a cropped image at a much greater reduced pixel rate.
I'm panicking now.
They are literally trashing the app. Why are they continuously making such backwards changes. First they swapped the order of stories around for months before reverting it so that your oldest stories would play in highlights first (make it make sense).
And now when you search up a famous/popular account, why have they put an extra click in the way. Why are they not just showing me the damn profile. Now I have to click the search and then it shows me the profile.
It’s like they need to justify their jobs so just changing stuff for no reason.
Hi all, selling a bike through pinkbike. Is there anything I should be wary of? Just a bit paranoid of being scammed as it’s up for 1,500 so a considerable amount for me.
Is it best to go for cash, or bank transfer. I’m overthinking things but worried about fake notes or transactions being reversed. And them knowing where I live but me not knowing their full details etc.

I made a comment in another thread and was told don’t worry most places haven’t put their rooms up yet, check back in a month or so, but how true is this do you think for next year?
Because looking at my hotel from this year, I booked it on booking.com 2 days after the festival for £350. The same hotel only has 3 rooms left currently for next years dates and it’s now £680.
Most other hotels are either booked or are anything between £700-1,500.
Kind of worrying that I might actually be priced out next year. I physically can’t do a hostel and need a private room to be able to at least get some hours sleep.
People will say I’m looking too early but I booked this time last year, and regularly dipped in and out of searches throughout the year and didn’t see much change in terms of prices so stuck with my original room.
Want to preface this with having had a top weekend and loved this year’s edition.
But the sound really wasn’t great. I work in audio/sound tech so maybe I’m being hyper critical but the mixes across so many sets were really poor. Appreciate it you move further back it’s often better but Slowdive for instance was just 90% bass.
Grace Ives synths were super high in the mix.
Speakers on main stage must’ve cut off so many times during the weekend too mid-set (slowdive briefly and Newdad).
I know you can use ad block etc but just wanted to rant about this. YouTube is now completely unusable. How can they create something so great and have totally flushed it down the pan.
I’m now getting ads every single time I skip in to the video. Which is just insane to me. If you watch one ad, then skip a bit further along you get another 2-3 ads immediately.
Why hasn’t anyone come around and created a competitor yet? Vimeo ended up being more for people in the industry.

Is it leaking through the actual tyre? Tyre holds air for a day or so but will be flat. It’s fully seated correctly and valve core is done up securely at the rim. Any ideas? Been on about 5-6 rides so far. TIA.
Been together 8 months now. Last weekend her 2 friends came to stay with her and they were going for a meal. This was planned ages ago and I was fine with not going at this point.
The first annoyance I had was we spoke about me meeting them for a drink after their food as her friends wanted to meet me.
On the day my gf text me to ask if I still wanted to come. I said yeah and then she responded to say she’s getting ready. I thought nothing more and was expecting a message after food as I hadn’t showered or eaten myself yet. Then she just drops a message saying they’re at the bar. No pre warning. I replied to say I thought we were meeting after food and she said no it’s now or never. Okay.
I wished them a good night, I wasn’t good to make that.
Then I found out the next day her friends organised a surprise party for her at the restaurant. At least 20 guests with some partners. Her sister was there too so some family.
And nobody bothered to ask me.
I know I haven’t met most of her friends yet but I have met some of them, and I have met her sister. And yet none of them thought, maybe it would be nice to invite her boyfriend too.
I just feel a bit left out and hurt that I never got an invite and she can’t see an issue with it because ‘she wasn’t the organiser’.
It wouldn’t have been hard for one of them to find me and message me on social media. They all know about me. And even after eating she never thought to invite me along for a drink at that point.
When I brought it up she said they did think about inviting me but didn’t because they thought it might’ve been overwhelming for me to meet so many of her friends at once. But surely that’s down to me to decide or not?

Edit: people aren’t getting the fact we originally planned to meet AFTER their meal. She didn’t tell me about the big party until the next day. People are misreading.
Has anyone seen this or been affected by it? Oh it’s okay they’ve ’apologised’. I know two people that were relying on that vote and have already gone on holiday so won’t be here when they hand deliver them on Tuesday. At my wits end with this. Constantly feel like I’ve got issues with my teeth suddenly out of nowhere. 33 non smoker. Good health. Had sensitivity to hot food. Dentist put in a temp filling. Pain went away.
Filling replaced to a permanent one 4 weeks ago and all was fine. Then this week it started hurting me on that side biting down. Like it feels weak is the only way to describe it.
Bite height feels okay. No sensitivity to hot or cold.
Any ideas what could be causing it, or maybe it’s another tooth I’m not sure.
