Use for old Dacor Regulator?

I have an old Dacor regulator and guage. It's over 30 years old. I know that Dacor was acquired by Mares long ago. And they stopped servicing older Dacor equipment. So I likely can't get service parts. Not to mention, the hoses are likely unsafe to use as well. I hate just throwing stuff away, so I'm wondering if there's any use for any of this equipment? The gauge might be serviceable. I doubt the dive computer can be. Thoughts on what use this may have before I toss it?

Thx

Good alternatives for monitoring?

Vivint stinks. I could recount countless details about cameras not capturing events, tech support practices geared at selling you equipment instead of fixing problems, and requirements to pay for service calls to fix their equipment that isn't working. That's all irrelevant. I still want hone monitoring, window and door sensors, and cameras. Thermostat control optional.

What are good options? I have Xfinity Internet, so that's one. I've heard good things about SimplySafe but their cameras don't seem to be high quality. ADT strikes me as another Vivint.

What home monitoring do you have that you actually like?

Thx

Anyone Here Downsize from a Challenger to a Super Chief Limited?

I'm riding a 2021 Challenger. And I love it. Everything about it except for the parking lot maneuvering and walking it in and out of the garage, parking spaces, etc. I came to the Challenger from a Road Glide which I never bonded with because it was big, bulky, sluggish. I don't need to tell anyone here what an improvement the ride of the Challenger is over the RG. But the Challenger still is an 800+ lb bike so it's a "challenge" walking it around and in really slow speed maneuvers.

I love the ride of the Challenger. But I don't do much real long distance touring, so I'm wondering if it's overkill for me? I've been thinking about stepping "down" (in size) to a Super Chief Limited. I want the bags. I want (optional) wind protection. I've had a Road King in the past and still I own a 2001 Wide Glide, so I know all about fixed fairing vs no fairing. What I'm curious about is if anyone has made this same move - form a challenger to a SCL? And if so, were you happy with it?

I'm 6' with a 31" inseam so not super tall. I should fit fine. I know the SCL ride won't be as posh at the challenger but I'm thinking with the right seat I would be ok. (Remember I do have that wide glide so I know what to expect). While I love the looks of the Springfield, it's still an 800 lb bike and will handle a lot the same on gravel parking lots and such. I think dropping 100lbs of bike weight to the SCL might be a good idea.

This is actually WHY I have the WG. I got it when I had the Road Glide. I wanted a smaller bike for errands and zipping around the city (strikes me as funny to call a harley a "small" bike - ha ha). And it worked. The WG rides nimble, even compared to the Challenger. So I have bike for lon days and the WG for urban rides. I'm wondering if I can consolidate and get one single bike to cover all the bases? I know the SLC won't ride like a Challenger. It doesn't have to, to still be comfortable and fun.

Is this a bad idea to consider?

Upgraded Yesterday

Well, I upgraded this week. Replaced my 2019 X3 M Sport with a 2026 X3 Premium. Got rid of the car with a leaky sunroof and replaced it with a car with a roof that doesn't open. Happy about that. The 2026 is a bit larger, but still handle those fantastic. And it rides a lot smoother. Although to be fair, some of that is probably coming from 19 inch wheels versus the sport wheels on my 2019. it's gonna take a while to get used to all of the features and capability in the new cockpit. But so far, everything is working really smoothly, including CarPlay. Snapped a couple pictures of the new and the old to share.

Older Spirits?

What are the thoughts on the older Spirit watches? Classic, vintage, out of style, kitschy? Something else?

Got 2019 with recurring water leak. Do I upgrade or switch?

I have a 2019 X3 with the M sport appearance package. I really like this car. I like the way it drives, handles, etc. A year ago I had a water leak in the sunroof that ended up causing corrosion in the wiring under the driver, side, doormat, taking out the IBS module, and just plain irritating me. No car, especially a luxury vehicle, should ever have water leaks. That aside, this group has plenty of threads talking about water leaks in this model. At that time, I had all of the seals in the sunroof replaced, the drain tubes cleared out, everything. And it seemed to be good until now

A week or two ago we had some serious rain and guess what happened again? Yep! I’ve got in the car and noticed water on the floor mat on the driver side, i had water dripping on me from the headliner courtesy light in the ceiling just above the drivers sunshade. This is not your typical A pillion leak. Later in the week we had more rain and I got in and had water dripping on my left leg. And for the life of me, I couldn’t tell where it was coming out of the headliner. Needless to say, I’m not happy. I was OK giving them a pass the first time and thinking it was fixed. The second time it looks like a pattern. And after reading this Reddit, this is clearly a recurring problem.

I don’t suffer electronic or water problems with my vehicle well. I get rid of them when they happen. I’m going to the dealer tomorrow to have them try and diagnose this one more time. But if they can’t tell me, definitively, what the cause is, and show me that they fixed it for sure, I’m going to have to replace this vehicle. My question is this: other than this stupid leak I like the car. I would buy another x3 in a heartbeat. But the 2023 and 2024 models are the same platform as my 2019. So if I got one of those, wouldn’t I likely be setting myself up for the same problem? Are the 2025 too new for anyone to have seen this issue in them? Like others on here I have driven the newer models and the overreliance on the touch panel for everything is a little annoying. I’m sure I can get used to it, but I do like a few special purpose buttons. Not a dealbreaker, as the newer models do ride nicely. Oh, and I have the four-cylinder, which is fine. So I’m not looking for a larger engine .

All that being said, what is the group’s advice? If you were going to replace a 2019 x3 would you replace it with a 2024 or would you get the newer 2025? Keep piece of information: i don’t buy new.

Thanks

Oris Newbie Question: Removing Links

Just acquired a Big Crown ProPilot on the bracelet. Beautiful watch. Love it. But I need to remove 2-3 links to size it for my wrist. For a normal watch I know how to do that. But there are no arrows on the underside of the bracelet, indicating direction to push the link pins. I'm thinking they are instead screws? Can anyone confirm? How do you remove links for a bracelet like this? Is my best course of action to visit a jeweler and have them take the links out?

Thanks
