Old bastard here, setting up my first ever pedal board.
It will consist of the Beat buddy 2, Loop studio which both arrived this week and the Boss GT 1000-Core (Currently in the shopping cart) and would appreciate some advice on which cables to purchase for the midi IO side of things as the complexity of everything at once is overwhelming to me.
Pictured is the IO for the midi on all devices and my shopping cart as it stands.
To save you looking at the cart, besides the GT-1000 core unit I have 5pin midi to 5pin midi cables and TRS to 5 pin midi cables to hook up the Boss GT to the Beat buddy.
Given that this is my first foray into pedals I'm sure I’m missing something and would appreciate advice on what else I will likely need to complete the board on the midi IO front or anything else like future proofing or options that I hadn't considered.
Gotta start somewhere right..
I set up a discord group for the Bonnell 775 AM along with the 775MX because IMO Discord has a better formula and layout for compiling shared information.
It's easier to find what you're looking for given topics can be separated into categories such as the motor (X1-Pro gen 4), wheels and tyres, Batteries etc and if you have spent any time there then you will know what I'm talking about.
Here is the link. https://discord.gg/9ubQf6se
I'm not overly ecstatic about owing the channel and being involved to the enth because I also like to be offline at times for extended periods, but I really think we need this type of platform to build and retain ideas using the superior tools that discord offers over both reddit and facetbook.
Lastly if this piques your interest, I also recommend another Discord channel (not mine) to be integrated into your channel list, which is the "High Voltage Electric Vehicles" Discord group here https://discord.gg/45yHxDA5T
They cover a whole range of electric bicycle topics including the CYC X1 Pro, but more importantly custom battery building etc which is something we can use to get heads around in order to start modding our own Bonnell's so feel free to join along with adding suggestions within the channel if you have ideas and suggestions to improve it such as categorisation of topic's along with anything else you would like to see.
That's it other than to say I actually created the group months ago, never got around to putting it out there and for the forementioned reasons thought it was still worth throwing out there as a better way to consolidate our knowledge.
