About Alhaithem and Kaveh

please, please read it all

Personally, I've always loved imagining them as brothers, but recently I read an article about the character "Ibn al-Haithem." I read the article after hearing that al-Haithem was largely based on this scientist, and frankly, I started to feel that putting al-Haithem and Kafeh in a relationship is a kind of disrespect to this scientist.

let me explain. After I finished Sumeru’s last mission, I became curious about al-Haithem and Tighnary (because I had heard before that these two characters were based on real scientists). So I researched these two scientists, and the first was Ibn al-Haithem not only in name As we can see, Alhaitham is inspired by the scholar Ibn al-Haithem, not only in his name but even in his attire! Starting with some hints of light refraction in the colors, to the eyes depicted on his clothing (since optics was one of the most prominent fields that Ibn al-Haithem revolutionized).

and about Ibn Al-Haithem? Oh my God, that man was a true scientist, in every sense of the word. The more I read about him, the more interested I became (especially since I love scientists but honestly I really enjoyed reading about him). But what I found interesting was that this scientist was straight (note: I'm not attacking gay people here at all, but really Ibn al-Haithem was straight in his life, and from his personal perspective, he rejected the idea of homosexuality.)

So, after reading that, I felt that portraying Ibn al-Haytham in a relationship with Kafeh is a huge insult to the views of a scholar like Ibn al-Haithem.

I know some will say that Alhaitham is merely inspired by Ibn al-Haytham and does not actually represent him. But let’s be honest, that still doesn't erase the fact that he is inspired by him, and this is considered an insult to the character of a scientist. Especially since the greatest insult to any scientist, in any place or time, is the disrespect of their views. I just think it would be nice to respect that.

Again, I don't object to two people being in a relationship; they could, for example, portray a character based on homosexual individuals. What I object to here is the disrespect shown to the views of the scholar from whom the character of Ibn al-Haaithem was taken, which consequently leads to disrespect for one of the greatest scientists in history.

I have no one to talk with about that because they will think me silly, but I don’t know how to behave with my family anymore, I need help

I come from a very conservative, almost fanatical, family. My parents have no faith in progress and think time stopped when they were young. I'm in my first year of university. My family wanted me to become a doctor, but I failed to get into medical school and ended up studying pharmacy instead. My studies are very difficult, but I try to balance them with my personal time. My family refuses to let us have any electronic devices as long as we live with them. (In the country where I live, children don't leave their parents' home until they get married, and this applies to both boys and girls. Until then, leaving home is considered running away, and frankly, running away is impossible because no one will ever take you in.) I finally got my first device this year for studying, and I really need it. I love using it to play games, study, watch videos, and draw. I got a very good grade in the first semester (just one point below the highest grade) and agreed with my mother that I would try to get the same grade this semester in exchange for her not taking my computer away during the holidays so I could draw, play, and watch whatever I wanted. But today, she suddenly asked me about my grade on a simple test, which I had passed, and then she suddenly scolded me, saying, "you spend all day on the computer and you get something like this?" She went on to say that she didn't want a very good grade this semester, but an excellent one, and that she would take my computer away for this semester and even next year, and would get me paper books to study on. Honestly, I'm so fed up. I'm not a child to be under this kind of pressure, and I'm not a lazy student. I do my best, and I'm extremely disappointed that she's taking my computer away when this semester ends. It's incredibly frustrating. Ever since I got my computer, she keeps saying I don't need it and that she didn't need one when she was in college. Mom, you graduated 23 years ago! It's like being trapped in a space for so long, and just when you start to hope you can break free, you find yourself shackled again and again. I'm so fed up with it. I don't mind obeying my parents, but not letting them control my life. I feel like I'm going crazy. she did never show any pride to me, instead she always scoffing me and saying that I give them less than what they want, and yes she always blame my computer because “I can’t give them what they want”
