US Army soldier, Ivan Babcock of the 165th Signal Photo Company photographed wearing the crown of the Holy Roman Empire in a cave in Siegan, Germany, on the 3rd of April 1945. The cave, which was captured by the US Army, was used by the Germans to store valuable works of art.

Picked this set up today for $5

Needed some new storage containers, and saw these marked down to $5! Pictured are the two biggest, others are drying after being washed. The biggest one is MASSIVE, I can fit probably a whole rotisserie chicken in there once it’s cut. Such a great find!

Coming to Toronto on Thursday

Hey everyone! So glad I found this sub. My girlfriend and I are coming to Toronto this Thursday for a couple days. I’ve been here multitudes of times (I’m from Buffalo) but she has never been, in fact this will be her first time in Canada! Hoping to find some fun cheap things to do! We won’t have a car, we are taking the GO train from NF up here, and we are using public transit the whole time! We’re staying over near Yonge and Wellesley. Wanted some recommendations on things:

-Poutine! She has never had poutine and wondering where the best place is to take someone who hasn’t had it before

-Beaches! If it was nice enough we wanted to maybe go to a beach. Anyplace other than Hanlan’s Point? Doesn’t seem too accessible w/o a car

-Any kind of fun thing that’s on the more affordable side.

Thanks so much in advance, this is our first trip together and we really want to make it special!

[Dreger] Sounds like Werenski, his agent Judd Moldaver, and CBJ GM Don Waddell spoke today in an effort to clear the air and calm things down. Werenski is comfortable going back to CBJ. Waddell could present him with a trade in the meantime, but that isn’t on the radar at this point.
