Asking for help in romantic relationships

Do any other ISTJs really struggle with asking for help especially in your closest relationships? I feel like it comes from not wanting to be a burden or inconvenience them since I myself hate to be inconvenienced. Also when people offer their help sometimes I struggle to see the sense in it because the way they have chosen to help me isn't the most optimal way they could manage/prioritize the way that they are helping me.

There is also a fear of a loss of control. I can't control how other people react, but maybe I try to more than I realize. If I ask for help there is a possibility the person I love could grow to resent my needs.

I had told my bf I also want to consider him when he offered to help me with something and going out of his way for me, but he said something to the effect of giving him the joy of getting to do something for me. That really made me realize how he sees things totally different than I do, and that I need to be better at receiving love. Relationships go both ways, I can't just be the only giver, I have to be vulnerable enough to allow myself be given to. he's ESFP, btw.

Ladies, how are we wearing baseball caps without giving camp counselor vibes?

I want to get into wearing more hats to add another element of interest to summer outfits, but every time I wear one I feel like a camp counselor lol. Any advice?

How much more should they grow out

Been growing out my eyebrows since early June after years of them being over plucked. First pic is how they look now second pic is from over a month ago and third pic is before I ever plucked them. Waiting on some space to be filled in near where I’d form arches is frustrating like idk why the bottom and top is grown in but there’s gaps in between?

Immediate brain fog/sedated feeling upon trying things

Hello, this effect may be due to sensitivities because I am in protracted SSRI withdrawal and have a MCAS diagnosis as well. I have only been eating 3 foods (boiled chicken, sweet potato, and butter) for 2 yrs now. Every time I try something else I get similar symptoms including an almost immediate brain fog/head pressure and sedated feeling, "weird breathing" idk how to explain but it's like slower. some itchy and tingly skin and a bloated feeling sometimes

ISTJ (F) dating ESFP (M) advice?

So I have been dating an ESFP (M) for less than two months, and he's sweet, a good person, we have shared values, all that good stuff. But in the back of my mind I guess i have been worried that I will become boring to him? This might be an important detail to add, but we're both devout Catholics, believe in dating to marry, and saving ourselves for marriage etc. so it's not like sex is a factor here. I'm also his first girlfriend. I guess I am just worried about the unpredictability of Se- he's said he's either all in or all out when it comes to important things in his life, so ig I worry that a switch will flip one day and he will decide he's all out. (i am especially insecure about this since I have been dealing with long-term health issues for awhile)Idk maybe this is just a very paranoid or shallow way of viewing the relationship, and would like some encouragement and advice about ISTJ and ESFP pairings? Also can't help feeling imposter syndrome- like why would a funny, charismatic, cool person want to be with someone so unlike that?

West Coast Catholic Rosaries Are Deceptive

I apologize for a bit of a clickbait title, but I just wanted to put it out there that if you purchase a rosary from West Coast Catholic, you do NOT need to also purchase a $15 leather rosary pouch, as the rosaries come with a little baggie which is not at all advertised to come with the rosary. Probably to get you to buy the leather pouch with your rosary. I just found out about this today since I bought a rosary and pouch as a graduation gift for my sister. Granted, the pouch is still more elevated if you want to get it as a gift for someone, but it isn't necessary because you get a cloth baggie.

Reinstatement multiple years?

I CT off of 20mg Lexapro April 2024, and a few months later developed MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) and since then have been only eating 3 foods and suffer from some other withdraw symptoms such as head pressure and brain fog.. Is reinstating a small dose of Lexapro a bad idea at this point? It's been over two years but I am still dealing with a lot of symptoms I had at the very beginning of my WD. Any similar experiences or advice?

He is just so sweet and so interested in everything I have to say I just feel major imposter syndrome like when is he going think that I’m boring and unc??? Why isn’t he judging me for my health issues that make me feel insecure and isolated?? Why are you guys so nice it throws me off fr 😭 also wouldn’t you want to be with someone equally charismatic and stimulating like yourself?? Also any relationship tips ? Everything is great so far but always looking for advice :)

Are my brows over plucked? Should I try to regrow them?

My brow shape has been similar to this for years. The old pic is before I ever plucked them before. Should I try to regrow them for a better shape? How do I deal with them looking terrible while growing out? Thanks!

PAWS and food sensitivity/MCAS

I’ve been in SSRI WD since April 2024 and a few months in developed MCAS (diagnosed via urine testing) so I’ve had reactions to pretty much everything. I’ve been eating the same three foods for almost two years now. Wondering if anyone who has gone thru protracted withdrawal or is going thru it has experienced food sensitivities that are extreme like mine or have developed MCAS? Especially if you are healed now from withdrawal and how food sensitivities manifested and went away during the process? Any experience would be really helpful to hear

Where to find quality, MODEST 100% linen pants?

Hey everyone, I tried the Retreat Linen High Rise Wide Leg Pant from Athleta and they fit great but I am a little uncomfortable with how good they make my butt look lol. I know I can wear an oversized shirt instead, but I am looking for a more modest pair of linen pants maybe that are more wide-legged and aren't so curve-hugging in the rear so I would feel comfortable wearing them without a cover up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Research Papers on Long-Lasting WD?

Hi everyone. I am looking for any studies done which reveal that protracted WD can indeed last multiple years. Also, while I am here, I am wondering if any of you have developed MCAS following WD? I Cold-Turkeyed Lexapro two years ago due to reactions and abt three months into my WD I developed MCAS, basically have been eating three foods since then. I am miserable b/c I feel like I am still hypersensitive to meds and supplements that I could be taking to help with the MCAS....

MCAS after SSRI's?

Hello. I am desperate to find someone like me. I have cold turkeyed from Lexapro in April 2024 and one day in July became suddenly reactive to all foods, meds, supplements. I have no history of food allergy or sensitivities otherwise. I just want to know if there are others out there like me who are struggling and how you articulate what you are going through to doctors. Because I believe my body is still so hypersensitive from SSRI withdrawal, I react to pretty much any medication I try to take for my MCAS. For example one drop of cromolyn and I feel emotionally numb, sleepy, etc. I just don't know what to do b/c I don't know if I can treat my MCAS normally due to the underlying issue of protracted withdrawal.
