Need advice on gas water heater repair - clicking noise but no burner ignition.

Hey everyone. My Bradford White unit stopped heating water this morning. When it tries to fire up, I just hear a continuous clicking sound, but the burner never ignites. I've done some minor gas water heater repair in the past, but this one has me stumped. Is the igniter bad, or could it be a gas supply issue?

Has anyone had one of those carotid ultrasounds at a health fair?

There’s a health fair at my local church next weekend, and they’re offering a few different screenings, including a carotid ultrasound for around $50. Part of me thinks it might be worth doing, especially since my dad had a stroke a couple of years ago. But I’m also a little skeptical about getting something like that done outside of a regular clinic or hospital. I have no idea what kind of equipment they use or how experienced the person doing the scan is. Has anyone here had one of these mobile or health-fair screenings? If you later had the same thing done through a hospital or regular clinic, were the results pretty similar? I’m mostly trying to figure out whether these screenings are useful or whether I’d just end up worrying about a result that needs to be checked again anyway.

My ex is threatening to set my new boyfriend up with a sugar mubaba if I don’t go back to him. I’m scared and don’t know who to trust anymore

I don’t really know how to start this.
My ex (21b) and I (21 T) had a really solid relationship. High trust, high loyalty. I genuinely loved him and believed we were solid. Tuliwachana juu alipata mubaba.

He’s been trying to get me to keep sleeping with him behind this mubaba’s back. I refused.Recently I started seeing someone new a complete 10/10. I still can’t believe he likes me back. Things have been going well so far.
Somehow my ex managed to befriend him. Now he’s threatening me if I don’t go back to him, he’ll introduce my new boyfriend to a mubaba and try to pull him away from me.

I’m broke right now. I just finished university and I’m waiting to graduate, so money is tight. That makes the threat hit harder. Part of me is terrified that my new guy might actually leave if someone with money comes along. After what happened with my ex, I’m finding it really hard to trust gays again, especially when money is involved.
I don’t want to go back to my ex. I know that relationship is done. But I also don’t want to lose this new person because of my ex’s games, and I’m scared of looking stupid if things fall apart.

Anyway nobody is above the program 😂

Does insulating hot water pipes actually save money?

I have an unfinished basement with a ton of exposed copper pipes running from my mechanical room to the bathrooms above. I was thinking of buying those foam tube sleeves to insulate all the lines. Does this actually make a noticeable difference in how fast the tap heats up, or is the energy saving so minimal that it’s not worth the weekend project?

what construction estimating software do you prefer?

I'm a junior estimator and I'm trying to convince my boss to modernize our bidding process. We currently use massive Excel sheets with broken macros. I want a platform where multiple people can collaborate and pull historical data easily. What construction estimating software are you guys using? I've looked into Bluebeam and Stack, but I'd love to hear some real-world pros and cons.

Need advice on scaling up. What is the best contractor management software?

I’ve been running my remodeling business for about 4 years now. I'm taking on bigger jobs and managing multiple subs, but I feel like I'm constantly dropping the ball on communication and project tracking. I want to streamline operations. In your experience, what is the best contractor management software out there? Bonus points if it integrates well with QuickBooks.

Inspection report just came back: Needs gas water heater repair.

My partner and I are under contract on our first home! The inspection went well overall, but the inspector noted that the exhaust vent isn't drafting properly and the pilot light goes out frequently. He flagged it for immediate gas water heater repair due to carbon monoxide risk. Has anyone dealt with this? Should we ask the sellers to fix it before closing, or just ask for a credit and hire someone ourselves?

Basement flooding at 2 AM - shutoff valve is stuck

The TPR valve on my tank just blew and it's spraying scalding water everywhere. I tried to turn the cold water supply valve (it's an old gate valve) but it's completely corroded and won't budge. I ended up shutting off the main water to the house. Since I can’t get anyone out here for an emergency water heater repair until 8 AM, is it safe to just drain the tank with a garden hose right now? Power is already turned off at the breaker.

Planning a tankless water heater installation this weekend.

I consider myself pretty handy and have done plenty of basic plumbing and electrical work around the house. I just bought a Rheem unit and am gearing up for a DIY tankless water heater installation. For those of you who have tackled this, what are the common pitfalls? Should I be worried about up-sizing the gas line, or is the existing 1/2-inch pipe usually fine if the run is short? Any advice helps!

how much does water heater repair usually cost?

hey guys, I went down to the basement this morning and found a decent-sized puddle forming around the base of our hot water tank. I shut off the valve for now, but I’m trying to figure out if this is something that can be patched up or if the whole thing is toast. Does anyone know what an average water heater repair runs these days? It's about 6 years old and electric. Would love to avoid buying a brand new one if I don't have to.

Tips for switching from phosphor plates to direct digital?

My office is finally making the jump and switching from phosphor plates to direct digital sensors next month. I’m a bit nervous about positioning, especially for tight bitewings and lower anteriors. Any tips for making the transition easier on the patients?

I used to think my routine bloodwork was giving me the full picture on cardiovascular screening, but standard lipid panels seem to miss a lot

Body I see a lot of people posting their LDL and HDL numbers here asking if they’re in the clear. I used to look at those exact same numbers and assume everything was fine, but the deeper I got into it, the more I realized basic blood panels leave some major blind spots especially around actual plaque risk and inflammation. A solid cardiovascular screening really needs context beyond just total cholesterol, like ApoB, Lp(a), or hs-CRP. It’s hard to know if lifestyle or diet changes are actually working when we're only looking at half the picture. For those of you tracking your heart health closely, what biomarkers do you ask for that aren't on a standard yearly physical? Also, curious if anyone has had success getting insurance to cover the deeper lipid testing, or if you had to pay out-of-pocket?

Aki wasee, nimechoka na huyu boy, this one was NOT real love 😤💔

Guys, leo nafeel ku rant vibaya. Huyu jamaa wangu ameniacha tu kama si mtu. Mimi ndio na reply first kila time, naanza chat, naomba attention. Yeye anasoma, anacheka stories zake, halafu anapotea offline for days! Days bana, no call, no “uko poa?” nothing. Unafikiria mimi niko wapi?

Nimejaribu kuwa strong, nimejaribu kuelewa, lakini roho inaniuma. Nafeel kama ninaforce something ambayo haiko. This was not real love.

But let me say this clearly I still believe in true love in the gay community. Mimi ninaamini kuna wanaume wengine ambao watachagua mimi, watanielewa, watanishow effort bila mimi kuomba. Kuna mapenzi ya kweli huko nje, even for us. I’ve seen it, I’ve heard stories, na bado nina hope. But this one? Hii ilikuwa one sided tu, full of silence and pain. Siwezi continue kufeel unloved every single day.
Sasa nimeamua ku-exit. Kuacha hii relationship na ku-heal. My peace inahitaji.

Wasee, mnaona aje? Mtu mwenye amepitia hii mnipe advice. Rant over, lakini damn… roho inauma. 💔🏳️‍🌈

Thrills

Nimewahi fuck kwa mall toilets btw 😂😂😭

It usually gives that mad excitement juu unaeza patwa na msee anytime. Kwanza when you have to control your breath ndio asi moan… man, I love that kind of risky sex.

The adrenaline is unmatched.
Last semester nilifuck a first year in the library toilets. Nikamgeuza, nikamfuck from behind bila mercy but controlled speed. alikuwa anasuck thumb yangu harder ndio asi moan loud. Ilikuwa tight na wet, alikuwa anatetemeka.

Tulimaliza haraka, nikamcum kwa condom, tukasafisha na kutoka one by one kama nothing happened Nilimfanya asuck my thumb ndio asi moan loudly while I was hitting it from behind.

I’ve also done it in the forest, by the road, and deep in a bush back in the days. Miss those wild times fr.
Sasa nimekuwa na craving tena. Anyone in Nairobi knows good spots to cruise? Looking for safe but thrilling places malls, parks, quiet roads, parking lots, libraries, or wherever the vibe is right. Drop your experiences and recommendations.
Who else is addicted to the thrill? 😈

Argentina fans probably want this killed early

Argentina-Egypt in 30 minutes and yeah, this one has a weird feeling.
Argentina should have enough. Messi starts, Álvarez comes in up front, Mac Allister is there, the whole thing looks more aggressive than the Cape Verde game.
But that Cape Verde match definitely left a mark. Argentina looked too comfortable, then suddenly it was extra time and everyone was pretending they weren’t nervous.
Egypt are not here to look pretty. They already survived Australia, won a shootout, and now they get Salah with one free swing at the champions.
That’s the scary bit.
If Argentina score early, fine, maybe it becomes normal.
If Egypt keep this ugly for an hour, though? Whole different game.
