27F here. I’ve noticed a painful pattern in my life:
\- A man comes into my life unexpectedly.
\-There’s an intense, sudden connection/spark.
\-He talks about marriage and makes me believe there could be a future.
\-I emotionally open up and start believing in it.
\-Then, suddenly, he pulls away or leaves.
\-I’m left alone trying to understand what happened.

This has happened more than once and I genuinely don’t understand why I keep attracting this pattern.

Is it something I’m doing? Am I getting emotionally attached too quickly, or am I simply meeting people who aren’t actually ready for commitment?

Would really appreciate honest perspectives, especially from people who have experienced something similar.

This has happened repeatedly, and honestly, it feels like a toxic cycle at this point.

I’m starting to wonder whether I’m doing something that contributes to this pattern, whether I get attached too quickly, or whether I’m repeatedly choosing people who aren’t actually ready for commitment.

Has anyone experienced something similar? How do you break this kind of pattern?

I’ve noticed that there seem to be very few women from Odisha in the Indian Foreign Service, last woman I heard was Upasana Mohapatra (IFS:2019) especially compared to the number of women qualifying for other civil services.

I’m genuinely curious to understand why this might be the case. Is it related to marriage, personal preferences or are there other factors specific to Odisha?

Would love to hear from people who have knowledge or experience with the service. Just asking out of genuine curiosity. :)
