Man "walking" a dog by making it run beside his Citibike. The mixed-breed medium-size brown dog looked like it had Staffie genes. Exhausted. This guy rode past another dude walking two dogs and announced that he, Citibiker, was a professional dog walker - is how I know. If this is your dog, this is not how to walk your dog. Dogs are not designed to run without pause. Hot, high humidity.,heat up from tarmac. It's cruel.

As a Mod of a small group, I have limited time. Just like you. The last couple of posts about Poetica have been heated for reasons we are all familiar with. Read the rules. Disagree all you want. Dissent. If you wouldn't say it to a neighbor's face, don't say it. If you attack someone in the comments, call them names, or curse at them, you will be banned. No warnings. And stay cool. I went to Zen Dentistry at Union Square to fix a loose filling. I walked in feeling fine and walked out with a quote for $10K, told I needed many crowns. Shell shock. They began work on one and my teeth have remained painful. There was no pain before I went in. I am now very, very stressed and feel that this may just be a scam to get insurance money. Does anyone know a good, solid dentist who will have the integrity to offer a second opinon? I live in South BK but can travel.
So I got a traffic ticket and am trying to plead it online within the stipulated 15 days. I have tried three days in a row. I want to plead Not Guilty and Schedule a Hearing (one of three options). When I try to do that I get a message that there are no available openings to plead it, with a number to call for assistance. When you call that DMV phone number there are only automated info choices. So there is no way to respond or plead and the 15 days are ticking away. There is one more option: to MAIL it in. This is Byzantine, but does anyone know if this is what I should do?

Have they just given up doing anything about it? Apart from locking up half the store? Today was the third time I saw someone shoplifting there. Very obvious, two of them, one a neighborhood character (he's often outside Dunkin), both walked out, no one even looked twice. The first time I told a manager. They did nothing. They must be bleeding money.
I don't usually put reactive and labradoodle in the same sentence, but I just saw one with a young woman and little kids barking its head off outside the hot dog place on Prospect Park West, then lunging up and snapping at a woman walking by. She jumped like a foot in the air and must have said something to them and then all hell broke loose. These little kids, maybe from 5 to 8, 9 years old, with either their big sister or their mom holding the jumping dog began screaming and cursing at her. Tiny kids, giving the finger. Like halfway down the block. Has anyone met this dog before? Wearing a black harness.
