Question about psyllium husk
I started it about 5 days ago and I’m starting slowly but my question is about the dosage. I only eat 2 meals a day with 1 meal just being a snack. So far I’m up to taking 5 Metamucil capsules with the one main meal. It’s definitely causing some mild stomach noises and loose stools. Nothing major though but I’m a little scared to take more than the 5 per day since I only eat the one main meal and a snack. Am I completely missing any effect by only taking 5 capsules per day? Do I need to force myself to take 15-20 per day to help lower my LDL. I’m trying to eat as little as possible saturated fats and plenty of fiber thru apples, berries, and beans.
