Any breastfeeding success stories after exclusively pumping?

I’ve had two kids and pregnant now with a 3rd. I really struggled with correct latching with both and had to pump exclusively .. resulting in a low supply.

I really really want to breastfeed this time around. I’ve had LC’s before.. released lip/tongue ties and done whatever I possibly could then.

Has anyone gone through something similar and have any success stories after 1 of 2 kids of exclusively pumping? What did you do? What helped?

3rd pregnancy - 25wks & feel massive

Basically, as soon as the ‘positive’ showed up on the pregnancy test, I was showing lol

Anyone else?

I know it’s perfectly normal to show quickly with subsequent pregnancies but I have so many friends that never appeared to look as big as me now with their 3rd or 4th pregnancy so I can’t help but compare. Also low key hate the comments I’m getting from people about how I look big or the “oh you’re due in October? I thought it was any day now” 🫠

Young Family Moving to Stouffville from Toronto

I’ve lived in Scarborough my whole life and after 2 kids (with 1 on the way) we decided it was time for a change. Our area has changed dramatically and is just.. gross. I can’t stand how expensive it is to live here either .. only to end up in a shoe box with no back yard. However, we live relatively close to the beaches and have our kids in an amazing Catholic school that we love. Ultimately, we made the decision to move to stouffville this summer. Now that school is over and we know our kids will start somewhere entirely new in Sept, I am feeling an immense amount of guilt and somewhat regret. I really do love the school community (parents and teachers are truly fantastic) and I don’t know much about our new school so I’m nervous.

Anyone who has made the move from Toronto to stouffville have any comforting stories they can share with me? How was the transition? How are the schools in general? What are your experiences? My kids are 5 and 7.

Dry Ends / Lifeless Hair !!

I’m really struggling with my hair! Please be kind with the responses.

My hair has a natural wave/curl to it when it dries naturally. It’s quite frizzy and ‘poofy’ too therefore I blow dry my hair straight or with volume so I look presentable. I suspect my hair is highly porous.

I just can’t stand how dry and lifeless my ends look. What gives? Help me with some tried and true products (shampoos, conditioners, masks, serums, leave ins etc etc) and routines that could help me.

Here’s some context that may further help:

- I wash my hair 1-2x a week (no preferred or tried and true shampoo)
- I use Amika deep conditioner
- I use a leave in (purology or revlon) when I get out of the shower and hair is wet
- I use kerastese genesis spray
- I blow dry straight using round brush and Babyliss blow drying
- I use olaplex bonding oil
- I colour my roots every 8-10 weeks
- I do not bleach
- I trim 3-4x a year but still see significant breakage

I honestly don’t feel like any of those products are doing anything for my hair.

Can I revive my ends? What do I need to do?

End of School Year Gifts for Kids in

Hey fellow parents, do you do anything special for your kiddos at the end of the school year? Gifts, fun outings, ice cream runs, whatever?
I’m thinking about starting a cute little end-of-year tradition to celebrate them — something to make them feel really proud of their hard work and give them a proper “you did great!” congrats. Is this too much, or do you guys do something similar? For context, my kids are young (5 & 7)

Long Distance Bike Rides and Pregnancy

Hi!

I’m m signed up for the ride to conquer cancer here in Toronto where I plan to complete 100k to Hamilton, ON. The kicker… I will be 22 weeks pregnant.

By no means am I an avid cyclist, however I’ve completed this same ride last year with zero training and am confident in my ability to get through it. My OB has given me the go ahead based on a low-risk pregnancy and asked that I monitor heart rate etc.

With that said, I’d love to hear any insights/feedback/advice/success stories from mama’s who’ve completed long distance bike rides while pregnant.

What do I need to know? What do I need to have? Is a padded seat necessary? Note: I will be wearing a bib already with slight padding. Do I need compression stockings? Am I crazy? Will I be ok??? Lol

Please share anything and everything relevant to my post. Thank you
