MagyarOK A1 Anki Decks

Hi, I made some MagyarOK A1 Anki decks a while ago : link with terms, etymology, and grammar. Just sharing here in case they're helpful to others. I have A2 and B1 also if people are interested I can also share them.

Edit: the etymology is the history of the word or the compound parts of the word from wiktionary. Hungarian has so many compound words like that it makes things easier to remember so it's how I've been learning vocabulary, but you can erase that field in Anki if it's confusing.

What crossing the North Atlantic sounds like

I wonder if previous generations had ringing in their ears for a week afterwards too.

The Imperial Hotel (Luxury Collection) in Vienna is absurd

This is a hotel in Vienna that started off as a palace in the 1860s and was converted to a hotel. The staff was incredible. You can get a tour of the property and see where various historical titans and celebrities have stayed. After WWII the hotel was the USSR occupation headquarters and the walls have some Russian language graffiti (pictured) from that time. The suite we were in was the Soviet Commandant's office.
The lobby is tiny, and the drinks in the bar are very expensive. We had to wait for our room to be ready so they comped a 100 euro lunch, though. I've stayed at some Luxury Collection properties before but this was on a whole different level.

Julio's Salsa

no onions! I can find it in California at Safeway and my brother reports it easily available in Texas. I am not a Julio's salsa representative.

My entire family is faking Ehlers-Danlos

My mother has always had a 'disease of the week' when I was growing up. She insists that everyone has at least one thing wrong with them, I went to so many unnecessary doctor visits as a child. I haven't spoken to her in 25 years. My dad thankfully died and is rid of her, she tells everyone he was bipolar (he wasn't).

I do have a brother who is much younger than I am, who happens to live with my mom. She told everyone he was autistic until he turned 18 when it became obvious that he wasn't. So she pivoted and told him he probably has EDS because he's really flexible. He started telling everyone he had it. Then my mom's oldest sister figured out she had it, then my mom herself, then all of her other sisters, three more. Then the sisters husbands her convinced they also have it. It's like some weird mass hysteria. I rarely speak to these other people (and I live very far away, which helps) but my brother frantically reaching out to me on Whatsapp to ask if i'm very flexible got us talking a little bit again. I told him that I don't have this disease they all got at the same time, which is incidentally also causing them all debilitating pain. He was surprised that I don't have it and is urging me to go get checked out at the doctor.

These are functional prosperous members of society who have contributed at least something to the world up to this point and they're all trying to get on disability assistance now.

Panama City's unfolding skyline [OC]

It just kept going. According to the uber driver a lot of these were built by Hong Kong developers and have empty apartments in them.

Lusitania deck plans (all decks in comments)

I can't fit the full file here, so here are the top two decks. The full size is hosted here. I used the University of Glasgow deck plans from the construction of the ship to draw this in illustrator. It was a fun project.
