Does the ferryman only take kids to the nowhere/threshold or does he also take them to the maw?

Ik it’s a silly question but Ik in the podcast he is the one to take kids to the nowhere realm. However in ln1 and its comics it was seemingly revealed that he was the one to take six to the maw. He also has pictures of him in the maw which shows he is somewhat important.

Now it just seems odd to me it’s that of all the nowhere places he takes them to the maw. I ain’t sure if the comics are still canon but why would the main being to take kids into the nowhere only take them to the maw?

Ik this is a very vague question but since he is the only monster that can lure kids into the realm, I find it odd he just takes them to the maw.

Ln1: fantastic start to my fav series ever as of now. It perfectly mixed horror with the Tim Burton esque designs and atmosphere. The gameplay was simple and the stamina mechanic, while removed later on, was a nice way to make chases more tense. The dlc only makes it better every chapter in the dlc being great imo. I only wish the portion with the chefs and guests were a little longer.

Ln2: arguably tarsiers most loved work(I prefer reanimal but both are masterpieces for me). The pale city was an amazing location and was a great prequel to the first game, with tarsier really finding their footing with how they do monster designs and so on. I felt each location was used splendidly and had dare I say one of the most iconic endings in horror gaming. I will say, similar to little nightmares 1, the doctor should have been used more as his area and sections were by far the scariest imo.

Ln3: now while weaker than the previous two, I still feel this was a solid entry. The ending while not as iconic as 2 was very sad imo, and I liked how the story really built up the bond between low and alone. All the areas I also felt were great set pieces with the candy factory being my fav looks wise. The monster designs weren’t as scary for the most part, but I will say supermassive did a great job encapsulating how crazy some of these monsters can look while not making them look too goofy imo. I loved how it explored how weird the nowhere can get and how it may imply they have their own civilizations and not just twisted versions of the counties.

Gameplay wise it was def weaker for the most part and imo they shouldn’t have given low and alone their respective tools and instead something more interactive. Not sure what but the combat encounters and some puzzles were too easy because of the bow and wrench.

Sorry for such a long post but overall I love this series. I’m so excited to play altered echos when I get my vr working and the dlc in very hyped for even if 3 was disappointing in some aspects.
