It got sold when he passed, I was 16 at the time. 10 years later, I found the owner and bought it back. Needed some springs and the broken slide stop replaced, replacement of a dovetailed Burris optic with some Angry Bear irons and a very deep cleaning. I just finished hand polishing the internals today. Got a Vedder LightTuck for it and have been carrying it.

This was my father’s carry pistol, his G30.3 in factory OD. He passed away nearly 11 years ago, when I was 16. Shortly after his passing, his pistol got sold. I thought I’d never see it again. Over the years, I have tried to get ahold of the person who purchased it. Well, I was able to track it down from across the country and purchase it back. I overpaid, but I would have given triple. I am proud to say I have my father’s carry gun back in my possession. I replaced a few worn parts with OEM parts. I removed the shitty dovetailed Burris and threw some Angry Bear irons on it. It will stay in this exact configuration, and I will carry it as dad did. I’m on top of the world today, frens.

I’m a hydroelectric winder and I just love the Scarab II.

First valve is the one I pulled off. Second is what I ordered from RockAuto. Am I tripping or does the RockAuto unit look used? The gasket that came in the box was beat to shit too. Will put pictures in the comments.

Also just ordered a new EGR valve and clutch kit.

Replaced it tonight and the issue is gone. Forgot to take after pictures.
