Day 9, second week. I need to keep pushing (77.5kg)

The first week was easy to be motivated about. Starting something always feels good.

Now I'm getting into the part where there's nothing particularly exciting happening. No huge drop on the scale, no dramatic transformation.

And honestly, I think that's the part I usually mess up.

I like seeing quick results so the slowing of progress is demotivating but I gotta keep pushing, know that the marginal gains compound to something greater.

I've spent enough time losing weight to know what works. My problem has never really been figuring out what to do; it's actually doing it long enough for the results to show.

So that's what I'm trying to prove to myself this time.

Day 3 of getting back on track, 78kg.

Still at 78kg, but honestly I'm not too focused on the scale yet. After losing around 20kg already, I know the first few days are more about getting my routine back than expecting some huge change.

Training is going well and I'm trying to stay consistent with my food instead of making this another extreme cut that I can't maintain. I am still struggling to hit my protein goal lol (economy so cooked, can't afford high protein food)

Hopefully when I look back at this in a few months, I'll be glad I kept going.

Work for money. I have experience in Personal Training, Accountability buddy, Event Management, also an EE engineering student.

Hey, I'm a 21 year old, electrical and electronics engineering student.

I'm willing to do pretty much anything a normal person can legitimately do for money. It doesn't necessarily have to be related to my degree or any particular skill. I'm also completely fine with one-off tasks rather than ongoing work.

Outside of engineering, I've worked as a personal trainer both online and offline with multiple clients, mainly for weight loss and basic strength training. I've also helped a couple of people as an accountability buddy for their weight loss. I've done offline event management, administrative work and assistant work as well.

I have worked on various engineering projects and consultation, including solar and renewable energy projects.

Basically, if you need a human being to do something legitimate, ask me. I'm willing to learn if necessary and I'm not restricting myself to the skills listed above.

DM me with what you need done and what you're willing to pay.

My first mutual fund analysis report (HDFC Flexi Cap vs Parag Parikh Flexi Cap)

I'm a beginner investor, 21y.o, Electrical and Electronics Engineering student.

Recently started investing ₹5,000/month through SIPs. (60% and 40% in HDFC Mid Cap Fund and Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund)

Before investing, I wanted to understand what I was buying instead of relying solely on YouTube videos or ratings, so I put together this comparative analysis of HDFC Flexi Cap Fund and Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund.

This is my first investment research report, so I'm sure there are things I've missed or could improve. I'd appreciate any constructive criticism.

PDF viewer: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:AP:39e1a288-0220-41d1-a06a-83e117a1e976

I'm also working on my first equity research report, starting with HDFC Bank, where I'll be valuing and analyzing the company itself as my hypothesis is that the equity is currently underpriced due temporary challenges and doesn't threaten the long term infrastructure and business structure.

Once it's complete, I'll share that here as well.

For Those Struggling to Complete KTU Activity Points

A lot of KTU students end up struggling with activity points in the final semesters, so I thought I'd share this.

There are online extracurricular events like essay competitions, quizzes, and volunteering opportunities that issue participation/volunteering certificates.

If anyone wants updates about upcoming events, I've made a WhatsApp group where I'll post them whenever registrations open.

Is Udyam Registration enough for this type of business?

I'm planning to start a small for-profit event organization where I conduct genuine workshops, seminars, and volunteering events. Students would pay a small registration fee, I'd organize the event, pay any helpers or expenses, and keep the remaining amount as profit. Participants would receive certificates issued under my organization's name.

Would registering an Udyam Registration be enough to legally operate this business and issue certificates under my business name? Or do I need some other registration (trade licence, GST, etc.) to provide legitimate certificates?

How do people find gig work in Kerala?

I've been volunteering at football and badminton events, helping with line refereeing, setup, equipment, and other small tasks. It's been a great experience and made me realize I enjoy flexible gig work.

So I was wondering how people actually find these jobs. Student-friendly part-time jobs aren't very common here, so most opportunities seem to spread through word of mouth. I've heard of catering, event management, exhibitions, sports tournaments, brand promotions, and other one-day gigs, but I have no idea where to find them.

If you've done this kind of work, how did you get started? Are there any WhatsApp, Telegram groups, agencies etc. where these opportunities are posted?

I'm from Kerala (Kochi), so any suggestions around Kochi would be especially helpful. Also, if someone happens to be looking for people like me, I'd be happy to help, and I can arrange a few more of my friends if required.

How is KTU Activity point certificate decided?

If I organize a genuine workshop, seminar, or volunteering event, who is legally allowed to issue the participation certificate?

Do I need to register a company/organization first, or can I issue certificates under a name I choose as long as the event actually took place?

Is there any law or regulation governing who can issue participation certificates for getting these points?

Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods out there. Removing a cheap, high-quality source of protein from school meals in a population that already struggles with protein intake is a terrible policy.

How do I make soya chunks tasty?

Soya Chunks are complete protein, low calories and cheap as hell.

100g of soya chunks has 330kcal, 54g of protein (0.91 DIAAS score)

And it's only ₹14/100g ($0.15) where I live.

I have been eating 100g a day (50g for lunch and dinner), the taste is alright, I just boil and squeeze, stir fry them in spices but it's really hard to wolf down 100g of it with my lunch/dinner and borderline impossible by itself.

So please tell me any recipe that makes it tasty and worth eating.

Sand Battery as final year project idea, looking for opinions.

The idea is to use a sand-based thermal battery to store surplus solar energy instead of exporting it back to the grid. Excess electricity would be converted into heat and stored in sand at high temperatures, then later used for hot water generation or industrial process heat.

The main goal is to investigate whether storing surplus solar energy as thermal energy can be more economical than exporting it at a low tariff and later buying electricity back at a higher tariff, especially for applications where the end use is heat rather than electricity.

We're also interested in whether this approach could help reduce grid load by absorbing excess generation and shifting energy use to a later time, while being viable for industries with significant thermal energy demand.

Does this sound like a worthwhile EEE project? Are there any major technical, economic, or practical flaws with the concept?

My aim is to work in the Renewable energy sector so hoping this idea is solid.
