Anyone willing to take a look at my potential entry for One Page RPG Jam?
reddit.comAre there any setting agnostic systems with a "Monster Manual" of sorts?
I'm trying to build a TTRPG that is setting agnostic, but includes examples of adversaries or templates or something that makes it more modular. I am also planning to include a few setting-specific adversaries, as the book will include two or three example settings. Are there any games that do this that I could use as a reference/example?
What are your favorite ways for patrons/deities to speak to your players?
I have mainly used dreams in the past, as a way for warlock patrons to communicate with their warlocks, and for deities to communicate with clerics/paladins. I've also used the patron momentarily taking over NPCs and speaking through them. Any other interesting ways for otherworldly beings like this to communicate with PCs?
Any advice/rules for running a traditional medieval tourney?
One of my player characters wants to be a knight, and I want to give them a tournament to compete in. What games do I run and how do I run them mechanically? I’m thinking jousting, duels, etc.
What can my other players (non-martials) do? What else happens during the tournament?
Can I have the same DC for combat and social encounters?
My game is d6-based, with four stats: strength, speed, intellect, charisma. In combat, players roll 1d6-3d6 depending on their proficiency in combat, adding their modifier to beat their targets DC, which is based on their Speed and Intellect.
I would like the social mechanics to function in a similar way, rolling a number of dice based on your proficiency in a related skill (Diplomacy, Knowledge, etc.) to persuade/lie/intimidate, but I don’t want there to be a separate DC for combat and roleplay. Should I have a different DC, or a different mechanic?
Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
Which levels would be best run as individual dungeons?
I’m looking for more dungeon crawls for my various games, and I have one campaign at Tier 1 and another that’s at the end of Tier 2, getting into Tier 3, but I’m interested in any level. Do any of the levels of DotMM, fit to be run by themselves?
Is there a way to change the point of origin for the map?
My scene contains several maps hidden by Fog of War, and whenever I open up the scene, the point of origin is always on a different map that is hidden by the Fog of War, and the same is true for my players. When they open Owlbear, they always have to zoom out and scroll to find the area visible to them.
I recently tried to fix it and drag everything over to what I thought was the point of origin, but I tried reopening the scene and it opened on a third location. Is there any way to set this in Owlbear?
What are the advantages of having saves/saving throws be different from ability checks?
In DnD 5e, the only real difference is that you can become proficient in certain saves, and in Mothership, it's just a separate stat that is slightly lower than your standard abilities. Are there any advantages/disadvantages for differentiating between saves and checks, other than to differentiate the timing of each one (checks are something you choose to do, saves are reactions)
How do I describe a character slowly going mad?
A bard in my campaign is under a musical curse, unknown to them, that is causing them to slowly go mad as they can only play this one specific song. I want it to be subtle at first, and just be for flavor, and eventually move up to mechanical effects

What are some good printable zine solo RPGs?
I’m looking for something that’s one page and printable, preferably in a zine format. I really like 6x6 tales, and want something else that I can easily keep in my pocket with a few d6 or something
I’m not really interested in journaling games, but something similar to an OSR style, so dungeon crawling, hexcrawl, combat and exploration.
I’m mostly looking for something fantasy but am open to sci-fi.
Outlaw Country is my free webcomic about small town justice, for fans of Hell or High Water, Friday Night Lights, and tragic old country songs
foreignpresscomics.comWhat are some interesting ways to add some roleplay to my Ancestral Guardian barbarian?
I’m a DM and want to incorporate the ancestral guardian aspect into more roleplaying elements of the game. Anyone have ideas?
My party is in a dungeon that doesn’t follow the laws of physics. Doors lead to different rooms, gravity changes, etc. Any ideas for how to make the final combat in this dungeon interesting to capitalize on the geometry of this place?
This would be used with a VTT, but I want there be something for my players to solve. Most of the puzzles I’ve used have involve riddles and/or buttons to push, so I’m looking for ideas for my players to move, rotate, slide, etc
