I remember that if you criticized Veilguard when it came out in 2024, you'd get banned from GamingCircleJerk , They called you: bigot, racist, transphobe, chud and a bunch of other insults, I am bisexual and I consider the representation in Veilguard and some other games harmful because they are full of stereotypes such as: If you're lesbian you cannot be feminine , you must be a full tomboy , If you're non binary/trans we need cutscenes of talking about your identity even if the world is ending outside , Surgery scars and pronouns are more important than every other aspect of your body , LGBT are puritanical and hates/afraid of nudity/sexyness (thats why veilguard have pg13 romance scenes with fade to black unlike inquisition) , In contrast, other games gives better representations , Because the identity of their characters is not limited to being gay or trans, and these are not games that boast more about being inclusive and diverse than about gameplay and story.
