EP 13 but altered (Humans Are...):

kdrama solo leveling (anime) x weak hero rip off idk????

Oh shibal I'm going to get downvoted but I don't really care if you Kdrama fans don't watch Anime and will send death threats to me. I watched Kdramas, Anime, and even Western content so that gives more context why I have awful taste. And this is a Kdrama sub, so you don't need to watch non Korean content to understand me. If you only prefer Kdrama content, that is acceptable to me, but as an Anime enjoyer it pains me more

yes i watch anime too in other words so that's why I'm criticizing in short

1. So the story is about the main character Ga min and every time enemies attack him, he's just a god against his enemies and his enemies lose at fights and Ga min always wins fights. Consequences don't really affect him and even if he has consequences, like I said he's an unstoppable god which ruins the stakes
2. Compared that to Anime fights, it feels like Anime is more realistic and Kdramas like this are unrealistic when that's not true. It feels absurdly ridiculous to me
3. In some Anime, even if main characters have powers and plot armor, they still face consequences while Ga min (SG) doesn't face consequences. In Anime, creators have freedom to make their main characters be a god or face no consequences but they still try to obey rules even if they don't have to.
4. I guess it's more of a Manwha or Webtoon thing when fights over side character developments, Solo Leveling is an Anime originally from a Webtoon so I'm giving it more of a comparison and some of the Anime community criticizes Solo Leveling for only focusing on the main characters and not the side characters
5. Anime better than Study Group (many of them): Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter X Hunter etc but let's digress back to Kdrama topic

but hey it doesn't have the p*do stuff like Anime so I'll give credits to that

KDRAMAS:

I'm not done with Kdramas yet, they still have underrated masterpieces I never finished yet that I'm looking forward to like Juvenile Justice, Dear X, Mouse etc

Kdramas better than this are Squid Game, The Glory, My Name, and the closest comparison Weak Hero

idk what happened to high school Kdrama fights, they went from more realistic to less unrealistic. In YouTube, I see more videos "Kdrama bullies underestimate nerd and nerd is an op god" It's like those types invest more in fights over story and character developments. (Weak Hero is an exception)

Issues with Breaking Bad:

The season except Season 5 has the same cycle: Cook meth, Walter argues with Jesse and Skyler, Walter and Jesse seperates, Walter ruins Jesse's friends like Jane and Brock just so Jesse could work with Walter again, Hank fights a Mexican character in Season 2-3, Mexicans die each season except Season 5. It just feels repetitive.!<

>!3. Also was Hank making Walter Jr flirt with a lady scene necessary in Season 1? Does it make a big difference with that? Even Marie's shoplifting scene. Idk, it felt filler to me. But couldn't they just use the 47 minutes for more backstories or flash forward scenes like Walter in Season 5!<

1. Chuck is the Skyler version of BCS but better written. I don't have more reasons to explain why

2. Kim from BCS isn't an annoying female character like Skyler and Marie

3. Better Mexican characters. The Mexicans were given less character developments thanks to their deaths in BB since they only appear shortly. In Better Call Saul, the Mexicans were given more screen time

4. Less repetitive and more unpredictable (Reread 1. BB issues)

5. The flash forward black and white scenes in earlier seasons, I wish BB did something like that in earlier seasons but with Walter to give more clues that something feels more wrong, something is different. Well they did with the S2E-1-4-10-13 thing but they revealed that outcome much earlier than flash forward scenes of BCS

I've heard this like everywhere in Tv show discussions but I never watched most of GOT. (not disappointed because of deaths)

Every time I hear this, it means Tv shows don't need to kill important characters just so it can be good or it doesn't need to make main characters never have plot armor to be good

Deaths are powerful moments, but overusing them or fake deaths feels kinda bad writing (looking at you Stranger Things)

Edit: My wording was wrong with "overused" I meant to say, using deaths just for shock value and not plot progression feels bad writing

Seriously it's like some Tv slang I don't understand

Edit: People were saying numbers are good enough. In my opinion it's not. there was a Kdrama All Of Us Are Dead and I forgot what episodes did the special moments I enjoy happened and even underrated special moments. YouTube clips are not enough if they don't have something what I want to rewatch. Squid Game just makes their episodes much easier to remember when moments I want to rewatch happened thanks to episode names. Also it feels tiring to fast forward to moments and going episode to episodes I want to rewatch. Maybe I have such bad memory idk

EDIT: The only Kdramas I would be fine even if they have no episode names is Weak Hero Season 1. It has 2 stories for the 1st 4 episodes and 2nd for 5-8. And they have more unique moments in all episodes which makes it easier to remember

Seriously, most Kdramas have fewer episodes than most Anime and US Tv shows but they won't give names to their episodes...

US TV shows: have more seasons and have episode names for all episodes

Anime: 24-26 episodes which is longer than Kdrama 8-16 and they give episode names. Average is 12 for Anime but they give episode names

Kdramas 8-10 or 16???? None of that. And the rare ones that did it is Squid Game.

Kdramas have literally fewer episodes...

The title could be a spoiler if misused title but at least helps me remember what moments happened in the episodes much easier. No episode names make it harder to rewatch and remember what happened

Overrated or Perfectly rated?

In my opinion, the only downsides is the "students fighting genre" is unoriginal that many Kdramas do this. Even Anime and a certain American show "Cobra Kai" does that

But wow this Kdrama hits me hard. the S1 ending is pretty crazy and better than Squid Game's ending.

This Kdrama isn't like most "students fighting Kdramas" where it prioritizes fights over story and character developments. I'm not saying fights shouldn't exist but I mean most Kdramas like that are more focused on fights that the story and character developments are forgettable

Doesn't have an overpowered protagonist that would win fights 100% always and a protagonist that couldn't win over consequences
