Looking for alternative to Starlink for vehicles
Its been a year since the last post asking so I was wondering if there has been any changes since
With the extreme degradation of what little cell service my area had to now no service at all, like everyone else here im looking to drop telus as my primary. (Keep smallest plan for ph.#)
everyone here has a starlink on their trucks, but I dont want to go that route unless it is still the only option

Horse
Had a near miss with a rider and a horse last night on my way home from work. Dude was riding a black horse on the road at 10pm. The camera actually captures him before I’m able to see that he’s there thanks to the blinding lights of the oncoming traffic. I’m guessing the camera has a polarized lens so he’s visible on video before I was able to see he’s there. I’m not sure if the video makes it look like I was speeding, but my speed was 45-50mph
We exchanged some pleasantries afterwards and he informed me, to my surprise, that the road is for riding horse, not the two vehicle wide stretch of shoulder. It was the perfect convergence of blinding lights at the same location as the rider, riding on the road, and riding a riding a horse with natural night camo. If the truck had passed 10 seconds on either side I would’ve been able to see him sooner.
5500, not an easy life
Least reliable truck ive ever driven, but its got power, drives nice too

I wouldn't own one, but I do prefer it over over other 6-7 tonne trucks

Better exhaust brake than a ford which is important to me

These trucks are just not built for daily rugged environments, but ain't got a choice here
