I understand that Ovids Spite Poem IBIS was translated into English as early as 1577. Would it be likely that Shakespeare knew this book and have anybody ever made a comparison between William Shakespeare’s never exhaustible wellspring of insults and Ovids “thou mayst not be tortured without the precedents of former ages” 😄

120 years old today.
Here it’s an opera singer who react and comment. And the reason why I bring this up in here, is because I think that Björk actually ties some strings together and formulates a new sound that burrows both from classical music and rhythmical music and creates a new synthesis.
Classical harpist first listening to Björks Hyper-ballad…it’s not waist of time. She has interesting comments on both text and music and also instrumentation. This is her first listening off Björk, at all. 🤗
What do y’all think, is Björk as interesting as text writer as she is as composer of music?
We are about to read Aeschylus Seven against Thebes and I then come upon this information. “Due to the popularity of Sophocles' play Antigone, the ending of Seven Against Thebes was rewritten about fifty years after Aeschylus' death.” So I wonder ‘do we know who rewrote the alternative ending and do the original ending by Aeschylus still exist?’ Admittedly I haven’t looked so deep in to the question myself jet, but I thought it an interesting question to post here.
