conviene ancora specializzarsi in svizzera?

Switzerland practice abroad period cv

Hi everyone. What can i do to increase my probability when applying for an internship in switzerland? i speak italian, and i will apply for the ticino zone (i'd like to make this first experience in my native language, and then go through residency in german (also this 2/3 months period should increase my chances of getting in internal medicine residency once i finish med school)); i have 3 years to study and get to a german B2 (i'm totally dedicated so it's doable). i'll also have a C1 english by then, but nothing covering the practical aspect. what do you think i have to do to increase my chances of getting accepted to spend a period there?

canton ticino medicine internship

Hi everyone.

I am an Italian medical student at an Italian university, and I plan to pursue my medical specialization in Switzerland.

I’ve noticed that the top priorities for admission—beyond the requirement of being an EU citizen with an EU degree—are language skills (especially German, which opens up opportunities in 70% of the country) and gaining local experience during medical school.

I am in the early years of medical school, so I have time to work on my language skills (especially german at this point, but i'm also attending an english course and trying to reach B2/C1) and create more opportunities for the future.

TL;DR:

How can I secure an internship at a hospital in the Canton of Ticino (while still at university, preferably in the 5th year of med school) to gain experience and increase my chances of being accepted into an internal medicine residency program after graduation? I'll still work on my german meanwhile (in these couple of years, to arrive with a B2 degree, and then reach C1 to continue with the internal medicine specialization); also, I found this website (https://www.eoc.ch/professionisti-e-ricerca/formazione/formazione-medica-pre-graduata/posti-disponibili.html), but I’m not sure if all the listings are current (since, after selecting a specific opening, the page often displays "last updated 2023").

today i studied semmelweis history…

it’s known that 6 out of 10 post in this subs are about semmelweis university, so why not share with you this fact

well, today i studied semmelweis history (because of history medicine, an exam in my university i’m sustaining tomorrow), and i found out that he discovered the cause of a particular fever, but this wasn’t recognised to him until pasteur’s discovery about bacteria.

was pretty funny when i saw in previous questions made by my professor that they ask semmelweis

problem with airpods 4 and ipad A16

Airpods connect and are fully functional while not on a facetime/video call in general.

But as soon as i join a facecall they are connected but don't show in the control center where you switch the audio source. Has anyone had this problem before? How did you solve or how do you think i can solve? I already tryed the usual unpair and re-pair but didn't work. is this a bug?

tired of making my own flashcards 🫩

i’m just tired. it’s time consuming, even if i actually acquire knowledge during the card making phase, i find grateful studying from a pre made deck (basically i’m defining a deck that i made many weeks ago and studying now as a pre made deck, and i feel better studying from it already made)

and no, here in italy no one use flashcards as a study method, so i don’t have pre made deck

medici che fumano

MODIFICATO |
