Friends dip the moment you become “crazy”

I had what I thought were supportive friends. They’ve helped with homework, body doubling, emotional turmoil, dealing with interpersonal problems etc. and then I had an episode and described my mental state being gibberish and nothing. “Drink some water bro” “good luck man” and that’s it. Nobody asked if I was ok. Nobody checked in on me. My two irl friends meanwhile were messaging me immediately on how I was doing. They’ve been checking in on and off the past few days.

Idk I thought everyone received the “I’m bipolar” reveal very well. Nobody said anything weird. And then when the crazy creeps in they part like the Red Sea 💀

Caffeine and mania

Has anyone had caffeine trigger mania? I had what must’ve been close to 700mg of caffeine and wound up sleeping only 4 hours (after taking klonopin), having racing thoughts, a lot of energy, being abnormally productive and feeling agitated. 🥲

Psychosis outside of episodes

Does anyone get some psychotic symptoms when stable? I have a really long history of seeing things out of the corner of my eyes when stressed even if I’m not hypomanic or depressed. No doctor I’ve seen seems concerned about schizophrenia. My last psychiatrist said it was related to dopamine, but didn’t want me to worry about it beyond suggesting an antipsychotic. The more stressed I am the more I see things and the more detailed they become (like right now it’s bugs, sometimes it’s people, scary faces or animals). I’ve been re experiencing this again recently, though to a minor degree until I had 600+mg of caffeine and started to think thoughts were being implanted into my head and that we live in the matrix while having two instances of seeing things for a split second directly in front of me. Does anyone not diagnosed with schizoaffective have this?

Anyone here resistant to therapy

It never worked for me 🗿 I did 7 years of DBT, CBT, EMDR and nothing helped. Then I took Lamictal and I don’t meet criteria for ptsd or depression anymore. I feel like i only began to benefit from therapy (specifically DBT) AFTER going into remission because it helps my anxiety.

Is EMDR worth it without having ptsd?

My current therapist knows I have experienced childhood trauma for most my life, have abusive parents etc. she wants to do EMDR. The thing is I don’t actually meet criteria for cptsd OR ptsd, but she wants me to re experience extremely intense and disturbing memories.

I went into therapy with a 13 year long history of severe depression, 2 hospitalizations and very extensive physical and mental childhood abuse. I’ve been in therapy since I was 15 and I’m 22 now. CBT DBT some EMDR at a previous therapist, NOTHING worked. Then I got diagnosed bipolar 2 after taking adderall for adhd and within a few months of being on Lamictal I don’t meet criteria for depression anymore. Which is the entire reason I sought out therapy in the first place. I’ve been stable for 7 months.

My therapist insists the physical abuse affects me everyday. But she won’t tell me how. I have some anxiety, and a lot of verbal abuse has contributed that. I don’t have flashbacks and Ive checked the ICD 11 and DSM 5 and I don’t even have the majority of the symptoms. But she wants me to sacrifice my summer to doing EMDR for these memories specifically. Am I shooting myself in the foot for refusing?

But she wants me to address the physical abuse during the summer, which would mean I’d be miserable for the entirety of the summer, recounting those memories that deeply disturb me. Even though I don’t have flashbacks and I don’t think about the physical abuse in my day to day life. Am I shooting myself in the foot for refusing?

Anyone want to hang out on discord?

I’m 22, just got diagnosed 1.5 years ago. So far failed every medication I’ve been on and feeling pretty alone. Anyone want to make a group chat on discord?

Any younger people want to talk?

I’m 22 in college and after 1.5 years post diagnosis still am disabled. I’m going through a flare right now. I failed humira and cosentyx was just denied. I just really want someone to vent/talk to 😭 only one of my friends is disabled with fibro. I’ve never met anyone like me that was my age. It just feels so isolating.

Ineffa+linnea but no columbina

Right now I have xilonen, Linnea, furina and ineffa (all c0) but no columbina. Is columbina a must pull, or can I make a decent team out of this?

Plane bus or train

What’s safer-
A long (6-10 hour) bus drive OR train ride
3 hour flight

I wear an n95 but am still cautious of flying. I do ride the bus and train despite it being packed with people everyday and have been fine so far.

I’m a college student with a desktop at home. I’m looking for something that lets me game at campus or a coffee shop. Is it possible to run marvel rivals or Warframe without draining the battery instantly on either option? I heard gaming laptops run out of battery fast, but is that faster than a handheld?
