Since 2023, I've been seeing snakes in my dreams almost every day. The dreams are always different, but snakes are almost always there.
Last night, I dreamed that two people on a bike accidentally fell onto a snake. They didn't mean to hurt it, but the snake bit them repeatedly. I was just standing there watching, completely terrified.
I don't usually believe dreams predict anything, but after almost 3 years of recurring snake dreams, I'm genuinely curious.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did you ever figure out why it kept happening? I'd love to hear your thoughts—psychological, spiritual, or just from your own experience. 🐍

Cows are kept pregnant over and over so they keep producing milk, and calves are often taken away from their mothers soon after birth. Male calves may be left behind, sold off, or neglected. In some dairies, illegal oxytocin use has also been reported to help milk let-down.
This isn’t about blaming farmers. A lot of them are under serious pressure. It’s more about asking whether our food system can be a little more humane for animals and for the people who rely on them.
A Kolkata Evening Date Idea
Start from Sealdah around 5:45 PM. Take the BBD Bagh local and grab a window seat if you can. Don't rush—just sit back and let the city slowly change outside the glass.
As the train approaches Majerhat, walk over to the left-side door and stand there together. The evening light starts turning golden around this time, and if you're lucky, you'll catch one of those Kolkata sunsets that make the whole sky look painted.
A little later, the train runs along the riverside stretch. Look out towards the Ganga. You'll see people sitting by the river, couples spending quiet moments together, boats drifting across the water, and sometimes even a glimpse of the evening Ganga Aarti as the train passes by. Stay there until BBD Bagh—just watching the river and feeling the breeze.
Get down at BBD Bagh and walk to Babu Ghat. Buy a ferry ticket and take the ride across the river. Don't worry about the destination too much; the journey itself is the best part. Stand by the railing, watch the city lights come alive on both banks, and enjoy the cool wind coming off the water.
When you get off, find a place to sit by the river. Grab a coffee, some snacks, or whatever catches your eye. Spend a little time doing absolutely nothing except watching the river flow and the city move around you.
After that, you can walk hand in hand towards Prinsep Ghat, or simply head home carrying a quiet evening you'll remember for a long time.
Sometimes the best dates aren't expensive restaurants or grand plans.
Sometimes it's just a local train, a ferry ride, a river breeze, and the right person beside you. ❤️
Just genuine friends to talk about business, life, books, fitness, or random ideas.
Making real friends gets harder with age, and most conversations feel transactional. Anyone else in Kolkata feel the same? How do adults make new friends these days?

Every Sunday morning, I wish there was a spot where regular people could show up, throw on gloves, test themselves, and leave with a handshake.
No money.
No cameras.
No internet fame.
Just competition, discipline, respect, and breakfast after.

Follow me for the next part 🙏
A few months after starting my cleaning liquids business, a retailer called:

"Bhai, stock kab bhejoge? Customers pooch rahe hain."

That was my first bulk order.

The profit was small, but it made the business feel real.

It taught me that consistency matters.

When did your venture start feeling like a real business?
Why do government pages keep posting AI images with the watermark still visible?

Using AI isn't even the funny part.

It's the fact that nobody bothered to check the image before posting it.

Maybe leaving the watermark in is their version of transparency.

Modern government, I guess.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi everyone,

I’m trying to learn more about the FMCG distribution and retail market in the Naihati, Jagatdal, and Kakinara areas.

In particular, I’d love to know:

- Which wholesale and retail markets are active right now
- Commercial areas that get good customer footfall
- Places where grocery/kirana shops are clustered together
- Localities with higher demand for FMCG products

If you have any local market knowledge or firsthand experience in these areas, I’d really appreciate any tips or insights you can share.

Thanks in advance!
I've been following Kolkata's hawker removal drive.

My first reaction was: "Nice, the footpaths will finally be easier to walk on."

But the more I thought about it, the less straightforward it seemed.

For people walking around, hawkers can take up public space.

For the hawkers themselves, that same space is how they earn a living.

And at the same time, things like clear footpaths, smoother traffic, and emergency access are obviously important too.

So who's actually right here?

Honestly, I'm not sure there's a perfect answer. Cities need organized public spaces, but they also need to create room for people who can't afford a formal shop or storefront.

Maybe the bigger question is why so many people end up relying on footpaths to run a business in the first place.

I'd love to hear what others think, especially hawkers, shop owners, commuters, or anyone who's seen similar drives happen before.

How do you think cities should balance public space and people's livelihoods?
Whenever people talk about successful businesses, they often mention boring industries:

- Cleaning products
- Packaging
- Industrial supplies
- Hardware
- Construction materials
- FMCG

But what surprised me is that the companies making money aren't always the manufacturers.

Often, it's the distributors.

Think about it:

A manufacturer has to worry about:

- Production
- Quality control
- Machinery
- R&D
- Raw materials

A distributor mainly focuses on:

- Relationships
- Inventory
- Logistics
- Sales

In many cases, the distributor has direct access to customers while the manufacturer doesn't.

This made me wonder if distribution is one of the most powerful yet least talked about business models.

The distributor sits between supply and demand and often gets paid for simply moving products efficiently.

I'm curious whether I'm missing something, because on paper distribution seems much simpler than manufacturing.
