Am I the only one who finds freeform wicks ugly?

There isn't one redeeming feature about this style. I love dreads but these wicks I've seen.. Esp the ones that have to be practically sawn off like tree trunks bc they're so dirty & filled with 'matter', are hideous. But when I've said that, ppl look at me like I'm nuts.. Surely I'm not alone?

Opinions on Brad Mondo?

As a hair stylist, not a person. I'm addicted to his channel but some of his advice has been hit or miss. I've not tried his products either but I'm seriously thinking about it

Makeup newbie advice?

I'm middle-aged & only just starting to get into makeup (I lost my hair recently so I'm trying to put more focus on my face, like make my eyes pop etc). I use giant hoops & stylish headscarves to keep the feeling of my femininity but I'd like to experiment with makeup but it's so overwhelming!

There's tons of options & brands, Idk where to start or what suits me. I'm very fair-skinned with green eyes & an oval shape face is the best description I can give.. What makeup & brands would you suggest?

Thx in advance.

Plucking hairline?

I have a naturally lopsided/sloped hairline, it even effects bangs (one half of the fringe is thicker than the other). For a decade I've been plucking out the side that slopes down to match the straight side which does the trick, it defo evens it out & looks better. The hairs hardly even grow back anymore so I think I've permanently fixed the issue.

Why don't more ppl do this as opposed to shaving which leaves stubble & rapid re-growth? Waxing seems ok but plucking has a more more natural looking result. Electrolysis is the best way, however if you're like me (not rich) then why not just pluck?

Clipper query?

I buzz every 2 weeks & keep a uniform #2-#3 cut. I struggle to get it even, esp the back so I bought a Remington Quick Cut pro & a Wahl Self-Cut 360 bc they're apparently the best for DIY cuts.

I'm due to buzz tonight, has anyone had experience with either? And any advice on how to get behind the ears & nape looking half decent?

Sorry for the long ranting question but am I alone here?

43F. My regime is super cheap, simple & effective. It's been followed for generations by my family, I've been doing it since I was 14. Cleanse & moisturise daily, exfoliate 3 times a week & wear sunscreen.. That's it. A healthy diet & plenty of water is also vital.

All skin types included. If you have dry, sensitive skin like me then go for no-rinse/wipe off cleansers like Simple Purifying Lotion or Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Moisturise with Nivea Creme (it never fails parched skin) & exfoliate with Nip + Fab.

If you have oily, pimple prone skin then go for foam cleansers or Johnson's Clean & Clear. Moisturise with something lightweight but penetrating like CeraVe moisturising gel. Nip + Fab exfoliator is for all skin types.

Another bonus is most of the products I listed are staples.. They've been around forever so no sudden discontinuations, you can feel safety with your regime. No need for 5-6 steps & loads of products that takes ages imo..

Note - Skin conditions (rosacea, psoriasis etc) not included. I'm aware they need specialised, medicated treatments that are more complex than the regime I suggested x

If they can't be washed more than once a month (which is how often my bf washes them) then they must be filthy, I'm finding it off putting. How can they be kept clean & smelling nice between washes? Thx in advance.. Google isn't helping.

I have straw-like thick, coarse & very dry hair. I wash it once a week & use a natural moisturising shampoo, OGX coconut oil as a pre-wash & OGX argan oil as a post-wash leave-in conditioner. I also do hair masks every few days but it's still parched. I keep my hair buzzed at 6mm due to scalp dermatitis & rely on wigs but I still want healthy hair. Running my hand over it is like being pricked with needles!

I'm due to wash it today, it's been a week but I'm genuinely too scared it'll break off/fall out so I'm considering leaving it.

Conditioner-washing also leaves it brittle. Any ideas, experiences or tips would be so appreciated! Google isn't helping & it's really depressing.. I feel like I'm the only one.

It goes with everything (sweet, savoury, even in drinks), you can have it smooth or crunchy, it's convenient, it's cheap, it's tasty AF, it's high protein/low carb, it contains healthy fats & anyone on any diet can eat it.. Name a better food out there?

I'm only taking about the pure variety, not the Jiffy crap. The best brand is called Pip & Nut imo (I'm in the UK). As someone with ARFID I rely heavily on PB, Greek yogurt & smoothies for my protein as my diet is so limited (bread/toast & baked potatoes)

The only downside is it's an allergen, so I'm sorry to ppl who can't eat this wonder food.

Note - The nutrition & food subs removed my post so it ended up here

I have ARFID & orthorexia. I eat the same food everyday.. Lunch is bread/toast with smooth peanut butter or a jacket potato with grated low-fat cheddar cheese. Dessert is plain soya yogurt & frozen blueberries (on a good day I'll add some ground almonds)

That's it. Breakfast & supper is a banana smoothie (a meal replacement powder)

I have issues with texture & shape too, like I'll only buy a loaf of bread where the slices are all the same shape & size. It also has to be soft. Is there any hope of recovery? It's destroying me, I'm severely underweight & have been sectioned & force fed too many times.. I'm exhausted.

What are your "safe foods" & how does AFRID or orthorexia effect you?

Thx in advance

Remove buzzcut hair clippings without showering (hack)

I can only wash my hair once a week (at most) due to it being so dry & brittle. However I have to maintain my 6mm buzzcut more than once a week, so to remove the irritating hair clippings post-buzz I just go over my scalp, face & neck with a reusable lint remover brush.. Works a dream! A lint roller is also great.

As a bonus, the lint brush is actually beneficial to the hair & scalp.
