I just set up an Alesis Nitro Max and I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to configure it, particularly for menu navigation. I keep having to use my laptop keyboard.
Is there a default "best practices" config for optimizing an e-kit as your only control input for the game?
I ordered a t.bowl and was all excited to try it out, but I didn't realize that I was ordering the 19mm, since I guess vgoodiez is out of the 14mm kits. All the pieces the shop has are 14mm, so I feel like I'm out of luck.
Is there a good adapter option, or should I just return this thing and try to find the 14mm option somewhere else?
I just got my fronts setup yesterday, and I have had to do a little finesse work to get everything established properly. It sounds awesome, but I'm a little worried that it's going to require more tinkering than an officially supported configuration.
You find yourself with $500 or so to burn with no cares, no ragerts.
What's your move? Do some damage to the wish list? Upgrade some gear? Decor for your home theater room?

My setup is Arc+Sub+300s. It sounds pretty damn good to me, but if the 100s are a big improvement I'd definitely consider the upgrade.

I just finished watching The Darjeeling Limited, and all of a sudden I'm feeling a strong impulse to go out and pick up the Satjyajit Ray "Apu Trilogy" box set, since today is the last day of the Criterion sale.
I've been pretty impulsive lately and I guess this is me looking for someone to either talk me out of or into it.
I've never seen these before, but they're on my Criterion wish list and I'm 100% going to pick them up eventually. I guess it's just a matter of timing.

My mower has been mega unreliable lately. It basically never makes it back to the home base for charging, and when I pick it up it always makes me run through the setup mode. Somehow it does always remember the old PIN, even though it always makes me reset it.
I'm wondering if there's a little CR2025 or something on the main board that needs to be replaced. Anyone know if that's a thing, or what else might be causing my guy to poop his pants every time he goes out?
My son has been getting into vinyl. I want him to have his own little kit, so I dug some old gear out of storage and got him some new speakers. All I need now is a preamp.
My whole plan is that I want to get him started, and if he wants to upgrade that's on him. I'm inclined to go with the $20 Pyle, but if there's something better I should know about in the sub-$50 range, I'm all ears.

I played MTG when I was a kid and would love to get back into it. I'm so far behind on what's going on in the game, what cards are out there, deck styles, all that.
I'm looking at decks on MTGStocks and it looks like you can export any deck to Cockatrice. I'd love to get like 5-10 decks that would help me get the ball rolling, but honestly I don't know where to start.
What decks should I look at? Looking for decks that are fun to play and will give me a sense of the current state of the game. All colors, all styles welcomed.
Also, if you have other tips for how to get caught up, I'm listening :)
Last night I fired up an episode of mythbusters (hosted on my local server) and for some reason Plex kept spitting a 30-second ad at me.
I switched to a few other shows and it played them like normal, no ads.
I suspect Plex was trying to play the episode from one of their ad-supported services even though the content exists locally, but I couldn't quite figure it out. Anyone else ever have this issue?
FWIW I've been a plex pass lifetimer for years.
After 1+ year of daily uses, I finally broke the stem that came with my TM2.
I'm looking for a stem with 1) a larger herb capacity, and 2) easy to clean. Other features are cool, but lower priority.
Anyone have any stems I should be looking at?
The ability to set targets is probably the most important feature of YNAB for me. I use recurring monthly or longer-term targets for pretty much every category in my budget.
I'm trying to switch from YNAB and Actual is the winner so far, but if it doesn't do that I'm not sure how useful it would be for me...
I've been a YNAB user for years now.
I've been in the process of doing a budget overhaul. My wife and I have made some changes to how we handle things and I'm updating YNAB to accomodate the changes. In the process, I've noticed that I seem to be "missing" some money in YNAB. As in, the number in what I can see when I add up my budget categories does not match the number in my bank account.
FWIW, my credit card is in "float" status, in the sense that I pay the statement rather than the full balance. I was going to go ahead and pay off the balance, but the category is in yellow to the tune of approximately one month's typical statement, and I can't figure out why.
YNAB is accurately reconciled, I just can't find where that money is assigned. I've been using this budget for years and it's possible that it's in a category I have hidden, or maybe is just lost in the sauce somewhere. Is there a way to get a different view that would help me figure this out?
The Criterion 4K is really exceptional. I've watched a handful of B&W 4Ks and IMO this one stands out among them. Every shot is has such depth and texture.
What are some other top-tier B&W discs?
Now that Paramount has the "restored" versions streaming, is this the preferred release that's available?

I have two Symfonisks that I could harvest from another room to use as fronts for my Arc+sub+300s setup, using Sequencr.
If I add them, they'll each be sitting on top of a bookshelf about 7' from the ground. Is that too high? Will it make a difference for the L+R channels?

First game I played today with the PinOne: by ball 2 I was able to start every monster mode and get Monster Bash going. As soon as that MB was done, I started Mosh Pit MB and ended up collecting the last two instruments I needed. Then... Monsters of Rock. First time I've ever started the Wizard mode. Final score: 457 million.
