Extreme fatigue, fever like feeling, brainfog

For about a year, I’ve been getting episodes every other week with extreme fatigue, brain fog, depressive thoughts, and a fever-like feeling (but no actual fever). It gets so bad I can’t get out of bed, work, or socialize. It lasts about a week, then I feel relatively normal again.

My doctor hasn’t been able to figure it out. I take duloxetine for anxiety, but these symptoms started before I began taking it.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any idea what could cause this?

Hi,

I have anxiety and depression and recently started Duloxetine (Cymbalta). My main issue is that after anxiety attacks, I crash hard and can be bedridden for days.

Has anyone found that Duloxetine helps reduce these post-anxiety “crashes” (sometimes called adrenal fatigue)?

Thanks!

Hey,

About every other week I get what feels like a nervous system crash — a few days of heavy fatigue, weakness, brain fog, and zero motivation (almost like having the flu without a fever).

Sometimes it follows anxiety, sometimes it doesn’t. Been happening for years. I recently started duloxetine, but this was an issue long before that.

Anyone else deal with this? Any tips that help prevent or recover from it?
