Doing it in the bamboo steamer basket with cabbage as a liner makes me feel very fancy. And back on the couch for the rest of the afternoon!

5 days of lunches and breakfast/backup dinner

Trying my best to stay on track. For lunch, we have a multi grain, multi veg bowl with chicken. For my grains base, I cooked wild rice, red rice, brown rice, tricolor quinoa, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, and barley in my instant pot - just boiled it, no pressure setting. Then made the multi veg sauce in the oven while that was going. And the chicken was pre-marinated and airfried while the other two were going. Trying to simplify my prep so I actually do it and stick to it.

And then there's a bone broth mushroom congee. Pack of microwave rice (un-microwaved), bone broth, frozen mushrooms pressure cooked on high for 10 mins and then you mix it to break up the rice. Added some ginger garlic paste and green onions at the end. Froze half, will have the other half tomorrow.

Let's see how these fare!

Mushroom Congee - 1 pot, 1 step

I took a pack of microwave rice, bone broth, and frozen mushrooms and put it in my crock pot on high pressure for 10 minutes. Mixed in ginger and garlic paste and frozen green onions after the pressure released. Very easy, I'm going to think of variations of this for the future.

What a gorgeous screen!

I've been playing Terra Nil with Game Hub and it's worked flawlessly. I have some opinions on the UI but that's secondary.

Dragons Breath

The only two I got from this plant so far. Plant has been pretty stressed as I learn to shift from coco to soil. I over watered and the tent I grow in was too hot, and too humid. Might strip it all down and overwinter for a bit on the balcony and start again.

Came back from vacation to find this - any ideas on what it is and next steps?

I was on vacation for four days, and they weren't watered (housesitter forgot). The plant was very dried out, and soil compacted. I've since watered them a lot, using a wetting agent and added bloom booster as well. I've just noticed this on one pepper - just curious about what this is and if there's anything I should be doing.

Cat Likes Big Leafed Plants

Hello!

I'm new to cats - I've had dogs all my life till last year. So I grow a lot of things in the house. I have a small hydroponic unit where I grow mustard/kale/salad/spinach leaves of various kinds. I also have a large tent where I grow chillies primarily.

Now Binbag - my cat - she LOVES to chew on fat broad leaves. I have grown cat grass (oats) for her but she likes big leaves of my other plants. She's eaten some of the mustard/kale/spinach/lettuce which is not 100% safe and I've gotten a small tent for the hydroponics unit. When I take out my chili plants she will 100% try and get at them. She just likes chomping on the leaves, she doesn't always eat it, but she does sometimes as well.

I've been thinking of getting indoor plants for around the house and I wanted to know if there's any that your cats have a nibble of and are safe in case they eat them.

Big peppers for a tiny plant!

This is the Big Bang variant of the Hangjiao Space Chilies. The plant is tiny but it's putting out a lot of flowers and chilies relative to it's size! This would be a hilarious bonchi growing 12 inch peppers from a tiny wee tree. Growth habit is MEGA compact, the leaves are all folded up into each other and there were many I had to detangle. This has been a fun one to grow so far!

Septum added and setup complete!

Paired nostrils, vertical labret and septum and I'm done with my facial setup! I'll be upgrading to a chain between the nostrils when I can save up for it. Definitely a better lip setup - but haven't decided what that looks like yet. For now, just want to fully heal everything ✨ then we'll play!

Space chili really living up to it's mutated status!

Growing in Biobizz Light, and I know I should leave the plants to dry out a bit more. I've got one giant pepper from a tiny plant and it's pushed out another squished flower. I put the light up and plant down to try and encourage it to reach for more growth but it dinnae want to. Short queen 👑 is happy and hydrated.

Hello! I'm looking for a device mainly for journaling, keeping notes, making plans for projects, and a bit of doodling and drawing. I was looking at the XPpen Magic Note Pad but considering the price, I could also get a used Samsung Galaxy S8 (or an S9 if I stretch it by another 100).

I'm in the UK. My budget is ideally within £250, but the options I mentioned are £260 (MNP) and £285 (S8).

My only non-negotiable is that it must have a stylus, because I'd like to do some handwriting and doodling/drawing.

Would you recommend any other options? If you have either of them, what do you think about your device?
