Been working on an old bike with a rod brake... And one of the screws broke off, I can probably extract it but it's a very unique bolt with smaller point on it to hold the rod together, can't find that anywhere. Am I gonna remain rodless?
Underwear question! I got a few sets of Soviet undergarments for my reenactment kit, however they are different. The 50-4 one is much thicker and has different stiching to the 50-2 one, and they are marked differently. Could it be a specific tropical cut?
Shame the 50-2 one is too small, because it's so much more comfortable in the summer heat, the larger one might as well be a winter version, but I'm assured it's a summer cut.
Since I'm new to airsoft, I was browsing for sale listings and this popped up, "Akriva", never heard of them, so I looked it up, it seems they make some really nice Type 56 replicas, but how come have I never seen anyone post one here? And everyone always talks about Realsword when it comes to these
Latest rescue, made her rideable but still has a ways to go, first off I need to respoke the entire rear wheel and need to get a taller seatpost. The name says "Old Veteran" which makes me think it's probably not as old as it looks, but literally no info on this brand whatsoever that I could find.
Drum brake question! This dutch bike I got has drums. After servicing the front one works "adequately", I know they're not the best for stopping, but the rear one barely does anything, even after cleaning and sanding it several times. Shoes cooked?
It is just me or does this BDU blouse look off? The Jacket and pants have tags and are definitely USGI, but the seller says he's not sure about the blouse since it doesn't have a tag anymore. Could it be a croat or bosnian copy?
Hey bro, wanna jerk my kit I made for the upcoming S&T SKS? (I won't be able to buy it) ((I know a lot of the gear is wrong))
Brand new Jungle boots! But are these 3rd or 2nd pattern? Does the box tell me anything about a production date?
New toy just arrived! I was debating on this or waiting on the SKS to release. I guess my choice is now obvious. Even had a talk with the delivery guy, he also happens to be into airsoft lol.
Took a ~1970s Yugo ladies bike on a "hard" mountainbike trail, and doing about as good as the tourist on e-mountain bikes. Bit hard up slopes but what do you expect from a single speed.
I got a Bulgarian M72 helmet for cheap, and I'm on the fence if I should sell it or try to get a whole Cold War Bulgarian set for my collection. It seems pretty difficult to find most pieces, and even references are rather rare. What do y'all think?
If you had enough financial responsibility to only buy one gun this year, which one would you choose? Or rather, which one do you think I'm more likely to still find in stock next year?
I know the M70 is the higher quality gun, but I'm working on a Chinese PLA kit which I want the SKS for, but it keeps getting delayed, so I'm thinking I won't buy it this year anyways.
The M70 is just a neat gun and I used one during service, and I plan to make a JNA kit as well eventually.
(WIP) 1979-1981 Sino-Vietnamese conflict PLA rifleman
Kit list:
\-Regular white button-up cotton shirt
\-Type 65 Uniform (Officer's cut, I'll try to find a regular soldier's cut one eventually)
\-Type 65 Gas mask
\-Type 67 4-cell grenade pouch with M24 toy 'nades off Aliexpress
\-Type 65(Or Type 81) waist belt, this is incorrect, I have ordered a correct belt.
\-Puttees (That I am still learning how to properly wrap)
\-Type 65 Liberation shoes, low-cut variant, I ordered high-top ones to properly use the puttees
\-Type 87 Canteen (Incorrect, I ordered a Type 65 canteen)
\-GK-80 helmet (Later variant so kinda incorrect for this impression)
\-Type 56 SKS chest rig (SKS rifles started to be more uncommon in the late 70s, and especially officers got AK priority, but I want to have something more unique so pretent it's some supply issue)
