Wirewheel the rust or give up on this rim? I'm relacing the whole thing. It has no holes, it's straight, and looks really good from the outside, + I cannot find these 28x2,5 wheels anywhere, and this one is marked W. Germany so I find that pretty cool.
I love riding these old dutch bikes, but I sure hate working on them... I was only supposed to replace 4 spokes on the rear wheel... Somehow that ended up taking the rear hub apart and one of the bearing races coming out in pieces. It also takes about 20 minutes to take the rear wheel off...
[PC] [early 2010s] Browser multiplayer game with monkeys.
For some reason, I have had this old memory come up that's been bugging me the last few days when I played this one weird browser game, that was sometime in 2011 or 2012 perhaps?
Basically all I clearly remember is that it involved monkeys, and all the infrastructure was made out of wood and twine.
I can't even remember if it was 2D, 3D, or just 3D graphics on a 2D plane. It involved some combat, I also don't remember what the enemies were. I know you could interact with other players though, and there were cosmetics.
I also have no idea where I played it, I think they had their own site, but I found it though some other flash game site, maybe Kongreate?
I'd really appreciate it if someone would know what I'm talking about so I can put it to rest. I highly doubt the servers are still up for it, but I could at least find some gameplay of it.
Needed a fork, this bike had a good fork. The stem is stuck, I tried forcing it unstuck... Well now this bike does not have a good fork no more, RIP.
How is rust stronger than steel?
First part of my Bulgarian border guard fit. (Ignore the Chinese belt and Zastava AK, placeholders), Good news is that finding a (kinda) fitting uniform was the hardest part, bad news is that everything else is pretty hard to find.
What should I do about the stickers on this bike? All of them are faded or damaged, and there is literally not a single piece of info on an "Old Veteran" bike brand online. I'm kinda tempted to just repaint it and rebrand it as a Gazelle? What do y'all think?
Any idea what model this Selle Royal saddle is? This bike is getting a restoration and this is by far the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden on and I'd want to get a shiny new one for it, closest I can find is the "Drifter" but it's not as nice looking as this one.
My latest waste of money. Now all I need is to find...everything else, and I'm not entirely sure what kit I need lol
My ALICE setup, trying for an 1983-85 vibe, German theater, so only one canteen. Am I missing something? Should I remove something? I just went off reference photos I could find, and some other kits other people have made already, usually Panama though.
So I messed up and pulled the drawstring out of one side on my veshmeshok, how do I pull it back though?
So while messing around it and trying to learn how to properly use it, I pulled one side of the drawstring into the fabric and I can't pull it back though anymore. I tried the old sewing needle trick, won't budge because the string is made out of this terrible cloth that I can't properly catch. Is there anything else I can do apart from cutting it open to pull it through and sewing it back?
So I got a weird question, does any company still produce something similar to BDU drawers? I'm looking to do a 1980s kit and I want to be *fully* accurate, but as weird as I am, I draw the line on wearing someone's used underwear.
People who have bought CYMA plat AKs, what's the overall experience? I either hear nothing but praise from reviews, or just nightmare fuel about them on reddit. Debating on either a new Cyma AK-74 or getting a used E&L 74, but hearing about the mosfets dying isn't really inspiring me with confidence
There's this mamma cat next to our worksite, she has 2 little potato babies which are feral, but she's a sweetheart, but why is she so skinny? With the amount we feed her she should be like a bowling ball by now.
This was my genius idea to stop getting flats: I took an old tube, taped it to the tire, then put a new tube in! I felt invincible for a while then I got another flat, after I took it out I noticed the new tube was completely lacerated from the duct tape... Whoops.
When you get offered a uniform for €30 you take it. Cold War Socialist Romanian uniform (ignore the false flag). I have no idea why they decided to make the bottom pockets fake.
List- RSR tunic and trousers, summer variant, no idea what the designation is. I have to get the branch insignia and rank tabs.
Leather belt with brass RSR buckle.
Summer Bonneta, no cap badge, also in a different shade of khaki from the uniform which kinda bothers me.
Rest of the kit including tabs and insignia, and the dong AK will be aquired next year, Socialist Romanian stuff is surprisingly cheap!
